Hi friends, while searching for one more B-17 from our air battle (11.9.1944) we have found very possibly wreckage of another plane. Found just a few pieces, nothing exact identifiable. Looks much like as a RAF plane to me.
There is one tube, ca 2,5 cm in diameter, painted dark green (not the OD or the US internal green). There is numbering:
YWC DTD 310B AN7317 T
On another assembled alluminum piece i small number
26(?) ? 4690
Thanks! Jan

Hi Jan,
the "DTD" indicated a british aircraft part. The number after "DTD" indicated the specification of the material - here "soft aluminium alloy tubes".
Regards
Nils

Dear Nils,
thank you very much! This is what I believed.
If someone may suggest a possible type (from the numbers) of this RAF plane, it would be helping... at least we would like to know what plane we found while searching for our B-17...
Once again many thanks and best regards,
Jan
