Unbekanntes Teil evtl. P51
Wer kann helfen,Teilnr:
V30j55900-82,
daneben 2 Kreisstempel inenn steht oben:
00,
darunter 326.
Daneben 16 im Kreis.
Ich bekam dieses Teil von einem Holzarbeiter ,der bei dies bei Arbeiten vor 30 Jahren im Forst fand,ca. 8 km westl. von Diessen am Ammersee.Ich habe kein Datum oder Ortsangabe zum Flugzeug heraus finden können.Ich hoffe das Bild kommt an !

Part # V30J55900-82. there are also two round stamps. in one are the numbers 00 and 326. the other Stamp has #16 inside
this part was given to me by a worker who found it 30 years ago, in a forest approx 8kms west of Diessen towards Ammersee.
i cannot find a date or map reference for this Crashsite.
any help you can give will be appreciated

The stamp with # 16 looks very much coming from Curtiss (P-40/C-46) http://www.aviationarchaeology.com/src/astamps.htm

Yes it´s right, but the stemp from Curtiss P-40 show three digits on the top. It could be a important different...
On interest is the other stamp with "CO 326" in zwo circles.

When the part came from a Republic F-84 jet fighter - this is misterious :shock:
When this jet crashed in this area, it must be known !?

Do you know a crash of a "modern" jet in this area ??
This type of a/c was the first post war jet-fighter with the first flight on February 26th, 1946

Found a notice about a crash of a F-84 near Handthal / Oberschwarzach.
How close it is from the found location ?
Maybe this is the a/c were we are looking for !?

Yes we have, it was on July 1st 1952 at 13.45
(Notice: the time of crash from found location is unknwon, maybe the same?)
