It might be a good idea to review other albums that aren't IS, since we all seem to like the same things.

Album: Sonic Firestorm
After listening to Black Winter Night from their old album (Valley Of The Damned), I took an interest in their extremely fast speed. I seen Sonic Firestorm for £10, and I decided to get it. I wasn't dissapointed. If you've listened to Dragonforce before, you'll know what to expect - and that's speed. A good deal of it too, but not too much in the way of melody. Nothing's catchy (except My Spirit Will Go On), unlike a lot of Iron Savior =D
They proudly claim themselves to be the "fastest band alive", and rightly so. I imagine the guitarists must be feeling rather exhausted after playing a solo, which boils down to just an immense number of notes in about 1 minute. The lyricist happily shouts the lyrics in a great way, somehow managing to keep up with the guitars. Reading the lyrics, you may think that this is death metal - everything seems to be about fire and war. However, the lyricist contradicts this, happily screaming through the song like Sonic The Hedgehog on speed.
In conclusion, this is just... fast. It's not particularly melodic, but the speed is amazing.

Black Winter Night was the first song I heard of them and it blew me away so I purchased Valley of the Damned but I for one found them to be melodic and the song to be very well written defiantly a nice album to own

Artist : Stratovarius
Album : Elements, Pt. 1
This album has its ups and downs. There are some very good tracks, and other tracks that I just couldn't get into. The album has a very schitzophrenic thing to it, with hopelessly happy tracks like "Eagleheart" just next to almost teen-angsty songs like "Soul Of A Vagabond". All in all though, it's a nice enough album.
On first listen, it's apparent that this is more slow-paced, almost classical music, quite a contrast from Savior, with tracks like "Elements" and "Fantasia", but what they lack in speed they make up in power. There are a good deal of fast tracks too though, with songs like "Find Your Own Voice" and "Learning To Fly" being worth a listen.
To tell the truth, it's the slower tracks that put me off it. The beginning to tracks like "Fantasia" ruins the mood of the album. The album has its redeeming moments though, such as "Stratofortress", which at a point almost sounds like it should be the BGM music for a special stage in Sonic The Hedgehog (Yes, I do go on about him a lot)
All in all, this is almost certainly worth a listen, but chances are you'll love some tracks and hate others.
Best Track: Eagleheart. Very cheery music with a catchy chorus.
Worst Track: Elements. Just a bit too slow and drawn-out for me, but it gets good near the end.

What do you think 'forumers' about an idea of talking only about new releases? For example - today's 2004, so we can give our reviews on powermetal albums, released in this year? I think it will be a problem when the forum'll got more people than now. Because power's qiute old metal style, and m.b. I'll want some day to talk about Running Wild 1988 or Grave Digger 1989?%)))
What about Dragonforce. The last release is 1st album fo me. Danbo Daxter was rite saying that theya speedy fellows and the vocals is true G.Britain's school, but I think Sonata Arctica is better%)

Elements 1 can be an awkward album to review - it took me months to get in to it, and I now love it after not liking it much at all when I first got it.
