This part was found at a crashplace of a Me109. It says: "Sach-Nr 109.659-004", Werk-Nr R975" and "Hersteller: jau".
Does anyone know form which part this badge is coming? What means manufacturer (=Hersteller) "jau"?

Kurtl,
"jau" is this factory:
Neu Kühler- und Flugzeugteile - Fabriken Kurt Hodermann, Zweigwerk Polsnitz bei Freiburg / Schl." (Schlesien?)

Thanks for that information. Will check the maps for the location. From where you always get such detailed information? Do you agree that the "109" part of the number stands for the Bf109 (aircraft type)? - Kurtl

Hi Kurtl,
the first digits show the type of aircraft on german parts.
I have some Bf109 part list here, but only on CD. I have no time to search for this numbers, because there a too much numbers in the list.
...the next digits show the assembly of this aircraft
regards
