Öhm den Thread hab ich ja noch gar nie gesehen. Keine Ahnung, ich hätt noch ein kleines Interview mit Jonne aus dem Januar-RockStar-Magazine (oder ev. auch Dezember, weiss nicht mehr). Hab's zwar nicht gefunden, aber kennt ihr sicher schon?! Falls nicht könnt ihr's ja melden, dann kann ich es scannen... ;)

J: One makeup artist once asked me before a tv-shoot how many years old the kajal
in my eyes was. The show was kind of a transforming play and I was supposed to be without
makeup. She cleaned my makeup for a while and started to think that my kajal was tattoo'd.
We had just been on a long tour and I had forgotten to wash my makeup for a long time.
Q: What deodorant do you use?
J: Hugo Boss Vanilla
C: My sweat doesn't stink that much. I use odorless deodorant of no particular brand.
If I have to say one then Joop! is a good brand.

Q: What was the greatest thing in year 2006?
J: Making Anorectic, releasing it and touring that came by it. The best tour we've
played ever. Particular gig that comes in mind is a festival gig in Estonia, that Christus
almost missed because of the night-before partying. You came from Tampere to Estonia by taxi.
C: Yeah, when others woke up 6 am I woke up at 12 o'clock. I took a cab from Tampere to Helsinki,
I couldn't get a helicopter for that day, but managed to get myself on a ferry. In Tallinna I
jumped again in a cab and made it there half an hour before getting on stage!
J: For me getting into the independence day party in the presidents castle was also great!
C: It was 2005 I think.
J: Damn, you're right! We have to make better songs so I get there again!
Q: Why are you called Negative instead of, lets say, Positive?
J: David Lee Roth has said that there are only few bands in the world that sell over 90 million
records. That day that we exceed that amount I promise to change the bands name. Only one straight
line more and the name becomes Megative!
Q: How were you in school?
J: I was quite the rascal that took road of my own. Teachers nightmare. My school motivation was zero.
I never had my books or pencils with me. The only classes I was intrested in were english, art, gym
and music. And history aswell.
C: Restless and angry. I'm still angry - it must be the punk background I have. Things make me mad,
most of them!
J:I think I'm still on that road. I'm more of a teenager than adult. Thankfully the band forgives that,
so I can be a teenager and don't have to go fool around as some shops cashier. We can make our own rules
and be pigs when we feel like it.
Q: If you had to tattoo something in your back what would it be and why?
C: Sing that says to leave a 1,5 meter safe space. Example, when I roll cigarettes burning peaces
fly around me and you might end burning yourself. I might also impulsively go to some direction and being
close to me at that time isn't good. If I'm in a hangover having people too close makes me anxious.
J: I could tattoo eyes in my back so I would see what goes on behind me. Or side mirrors on my shoulders!
Q: Hey Jonne, what do you hate?
J: Läskisoosi! (Finnish traditional food that has lots of fat in it.)
Q: How old were you when you played Kikka? (Kikka was a finnish woman singer who died recently)
J: I was 6. I guess it was 1990. I was always the showman of the family. My little-brother
tried hard to play Ressu Redfords "Kato mitä sä teit". It all started with Kikkas "Sukkula Veenukseen."
I liked that lipstick and Kikkas pink "whole-body condom" (latex dress?). Peace to her soul, R.I.P.
Exited by Kikka I started a habit of playing the artists I saw at Levyraati (tv-show).
Q: Are you, Jonne, going to pull a gig with Ville in the future?
J: I haven't planned to, but you never know. I'm 23 and I've noticed that my mind has changed with many
things so far. The older I get the wider perspective you get on things and I don't want to close this option.
At the moment I don't see myself playing with my brother.

Q: The most memorable fan you've had?
C: We were recently in Kuopio. When we were leaving on girl mooned at us in front of the bus.
After this she made aquitances with my mom. Hi to Kuopio!
J: I remember a group of girls that has been on our gigs since the War of Love. In the future
they're going to be our street team-organizers. The group has been on over 80 NGT gigs.
C: You recognize the starting times fans most easily and remember some of their names.
J: Hi to Marja.
Q: Is it still funny to see that people wait in lines in sub zero temperatures over the night,
skip school and spend all their money and time to see you?
C: I've been a fan myself so I understand them well. It's sad though if they have to wait in cold.
J: At first you wonder what is going o. Our fans have been really active. As long as no one dies,
freezes or hurt themselves all is well. People might think it's stupid, crazy and irresponsible, but
that's what rock 'n' roll is!
Q: What is the most arrogant present you've had?
C: In our case, clean underwear.
J: Right! Clean and fresh out of package!
Q: Do you keep the things you get from fans?
C: Yeah, I have 'em home, at the tourbus and in mom's cellar. Now that my mom is moving I have to find a new place.
If you happen to know one let me know. All the stuff don't fit in my home. We do keep 'em though.
Q: If you met God, what would you say to him?
C: Long time no see!
J: If Jesus is coming from your right to judge people, who sits on your left side and what does he do?
Q: Does Jonne have an obsession of trying to sell Christus's intestines on gigs?
C: It's all for sale!
J: It started when I cut my dreads. I still have 'em and once thought as a joke about selling them.
Especially in Europe people would buy anything we have at the merchandise-tent. It has turned into a
inside-joke amongst the band. I once bought a snowman-lantern that we all signed. We brought it on stage during the
encore and we took it to merchandise-person and told him to sell it to the first bidder. He wrote a sign that
sid it was an official tour-snowman and someone had come and offered 100 euros right away! We made a joke about selling
my dreadlocks and christus' broken spleen that he has in a glass jar at home. That would get us a lot of cash!
Q: If you got to be anyone for a day, who would you be and why?
C: A woman.
J: Same thing! I'd like to know how sex feels for women. That would make me a better lover for sure!
Q: Tell us something about your trip to Paris at christmas?
J: It was very giving trip we made on a feeling-base. We were on a holiday with the whole band. we took
a sweet from Ritz and hang around at Jim Morrisons grave.
Q: What are your dearest childhood memories?
J: When were child we had this long haired carpet and I remember how I played naked with a toy tractor.
I have photographs about the situation. I remember the day well. After playing mom took me to bath. It
has stayed in my memory for some reason. The picture is from 1987.
C: I can't remember the year but the moment I got the help-wheels off my bike and felt the speed for the first time.
J: The very moment my dad let go I drove my bike at something and hurt my head.
Q: I hope this isn't too depressing but if you died now, where would you want to be buried?
J: I've thought about it and want to be cremated. I get the creeps from thinking about rotting underground with worms
crawling in my ears and mouth. I have no idea of the place. Our family lives across so we have no familygrave or such.
C: I would like to be dust in the Lammenpää area in Tampere where my father is. I haven't thought about it much.
Q: Do you have nicknames?
J: The band and the crew call me "recording artist". "Oh, the recording artist is late again..." It has sort of a picking tone in it.
C: I don't think I have any...
J: Yeah you do, Sööri!
Q: Where and when did you meet each other for the first time?
J: When did we meet? Was it at the club for young people?
C: Yeah, at New Haven.
J: We met officially then, but before that I couldn't speak with you with all the women at the bar around you.
You Played bass in the Bloodpit then. We were seeing your gig with Larry and wondered who's the guy who plays
bass with one hand and picks nose with the other. You found a big chunk of bugger you wiped in the curtains.
And like I said, all the women came bustling around you. I and Larry thought that we have to get that guy in
the band.

Q: How do you prepare before the gig?
C: At the moment I wake up and know you're playing that night, it's different from a day with no gig.
The mental preparation starts the night before. Somehow you have to get yourself in the mood for destroying.
J: It depends on the gig. Now that we play at Pakkahuone,Tampere in our hometown I was anxious for days.
Before the gig I open my voice. I've also noticed that if you give yourself enough time to sleep during tour, the voice doesn't wear
off as easily. Body is my instrument after all.
Q: If not in Finland, where would you like to live and why? (Jazmin Arredondo, San Antonio, Spain)
C: In Spain for example! It's warm there. How's your place?
Q: What would you do, if you weren't in music business?
C: Nothing I guess, propably drank cola with Olli (Hokkanen, tried to make a record in TV, failed miserably.)
J: It's hard to think life without music but I guess I'd do something with children and young people.
C: Yeah, I'd be a home-dad!
Q: Tell us about your first kiss?
J: In kidergarten we played kiss-catching and I played that I fell and I winked to the girl that we could kiss.
Officially it happened on fourth grade. I had built a place in maple tree that I took the girl and we french kissed
the first time. We went there later to kiss too.
C: I was 8, but let's talk about it later. Some know more about it but I can't explain it here, it's a little
dirtier story.

Interview with Sir Christus in Bochum, 9.11.2006
At the beginning I must emphasise that Sit Christus really tried hard to answer the questions, although sometimes it seemed that he didn’t understand what we wanted from him, so he ran off the track sometimes. Some answers don’t make any sence, but all in all it was a funny interview.
Question: How’s the tour going on so far? What was the reaction of the people after you’ve been away for so long?
Christus: What was the reaction to...
Inn Joy: Yes, what was the reaction of the audience to your songs and yourself...
Christus: Finally I’ve caught up with the rythm of the tour and everything that belongs there. It’s funny but I have problems with my flu every night. And I must get rid of this stuff on stage (shows how he gets rid of the “stuff” from his nose).
Q: This is the same town, but another location. You had your first show in Germany here at Bochum Total last year. Do you remember it?
Christus: Yes, I still do.
Inn Joy: How was it? How did you feel?
Christus: Frankly speaking I don’t remember the location. (Starst talking about Zeche) When we arrived here, it was about half past three; I came in and said: “Oh, I remember this place”. But the last time it was just crazy. It was funny and great.
Q: Can you describe how the sound has changed from your first demo till your last album?
Christus: Oh, it has changed a lot. I don’t know, I can’t say anything about the time when I was not in the band, but when I came to the band, everything was difficult. The making of the new album was a hard process; we fought a lot with each other, but I don’t like to think about it. After all, we became even closer to each other. We don’t fight anymore; everything is more peaceful now. A lot of things have changed.
At this moment the interview is interrupted, because Quill’s making an interview with Jay and he doesn’t understand the word „discipline“. So everebody in the room is asked about the meaning, everybody starts laughing, and finally, one of the guys tells the drummer the word in Finnish (Kuri).
Q: How’s the sucsess of „Anorectic“ in Finnland differs from the sucsess of the album in the rest of Europe or Japan? How would you describe this difference?
Christus: Hm, it’s getting bigger and bigger. It’s not like the sucsess came in one night, but it gets bigger. I hope the sucsess won’t come already tomorrow. Otherwise I’ll cut my head off (laughs).
Q: What’s your favourite song from the new album?
Christus: It depends. If you speak about the romantic songs, then I’d say „Planet of the Sun“. This is the most romantic song on the album. If we talk about the feelings in generall, then - „In Memoriam“. Also because of the memories. It’s a great song. And „Misty Morning“... I don’t know. It’s easy to play and it’s funny. So is it.
Kati: I like „Song for the broken hearted.“
Christus: And which one do you like?
Michi: Swans.
Christus: I like this one as well. A great song.
Q: If you could be a gast player, which band would you choose?
Christus: A band?
Inn Joy: Right. Which band would it be?
Christus: (thinking for a long time) I don’t know. Maybe I’d choose something old, but I really don’t know. I don’t have anyone in a band. I don’t want to think about it, because I believe in destiny. I don’t believe in God, I don’t believe in you (looks at Kati), and I don’t believe in you (looks at Michi), I don’t even believe in myself, I don’t believe in God , I don’t believe in Rock’n’Roll, I don’t believe in anything. I don’t care what will happen, because I believe that destiny has its hand with it. I don’t know, but there would be a lot of bands: Backyard Babies, Hanoi Rocks.
Inn Joy: So you would like to stand on stage with all these bands?
Christus: Hm, yes.
Q: What’s the first thing that you do when you come home from a tour?
Christus: The first? Hmm, I don’t know. Getting drunk and listening to music. Well, the first thing I do when I return home is to turn on the music, smoke a pot; I try to relax.
Q: What is the best and the worst about being on tour?
Christus: The worst and the best?
Inn Joy: Right.
Christus: The worst is...
At this point the interview is interrupted again. Christus was considering the answer and it became very silent in the room. In this moment Quilleasked Jay: „I heard that finnish people drink a lot...“, after which everybody started laughing (Antti, Snack, Larry, Christus, Kati und Michi).
Christus: So, the worst about the tour is that it ends. The best is the playing, but you probably don’t want to hear about it (starts laughing). You are free to do anything. Really anything! tun. Wirklich alles! You can live your life and noone cares abiut it... I think so.
Q: Is there anything that disturbs you about the other guys when you’re on tour?
Christus: Yes! A lot of things. They get on my nerves all the time. Although I think this is me who makes them troubles.
Larry: (jokingly) That’s right.
Christus: You must ask the guys!
Q: If you look back on your life, on the things that happened to you, are there more positive or negative things?
Christus: The things that happened to the band?
Inn Joy: Yes.
Christus: Absolutely positive! There was nothing negative.
Larry: (comments out of his corner) Except the band itself!
Christus: Right, the only thing that is negative, is Negative. I have never had problems with the band. Everything is really positive.
Q: Can you speak a little German?
Christus: (thinks) No.
Q: If you could change something about your life, what would it be?
Christus: (straight away) Nothing! Maybe I would just stick that little thing in my handbag into my ass.
While Kati and Mich are trying to define the answer, Sir Christus bows and extracts something out of his handbag: a small turquoise mini-vibrator.
It’s not enough for him to just show it to us. Christus turns it on and moves it a couple of times before Michis Mp3-Player, which serves as a recorder, so that this moment would be documented. Michi and Kati, as well as the rest of the band burst into laughing.
Christus: I’m sorry, I’m really sorry. (keeps on grinning)
Q: Can you describe your band-mates with only 3 words?
Christus: Sure. Jay is quiet and thinks slowly. Antti is an on/off guy. If you watched him the whole day, you would go crazy. Snack is the most talented, alongside me, of course. Snack is also someone who minds only good for everybody. Snack is just Snack. Larry is my best friend. We often slept together is one bed and we lived together. Larry is a very nice guy, very honest, especially to me. We are honest in every relationship. Arska is my second best friend; he is a substitute for my father. Everything is well if Arska is around.
P.S. He used the frase „I don’t know“ the whole 17 times during the interview.

This conversation was absolutely private and wasn`t supposed to be published ( but a useful habit of putting the dictaphone on did its job). And I hope that Jonne will forgive my trick, we didn`t make agreements on divulgence of the private secrets. Though… he will forgive me, he has forgiven even more serious things.
Jonne, most of all I`m interested in one question - are you of a straight orientation? Sorry, but your face expresses such an innocence...
- Innocence? Hmm... I have had several girls by the way. I don`t remember exactly how many but I’ve had them. These days, unfortunately, I`m single. I am trying to find my only one... Although, I have already had my true love, but, it might happen again. - Hm... kinda. Though, I listen to Bullet For My Valentine, so what? I don`t try to resemble to anyone, I have my own style and my ways for self-expression, and even if those don`t look like my personal preferances, the main meaning - this is how I see, how I think and how I imagine my own creative life. Although, I dream to become as cool as AC/DC.
And then give spankings to all those diffident idiots who weren`t sure about you.

- That`s it! I don`t care about those people, I try not to pay attention to them, but speaking honestly, every time I feel hurt when they come to take a look and then humiliate me, every time it`s like stabbing in my heart. Don`t like - don`t listen, don`t come!
I`m afraid to hurt you, but it`s impossible. Even when a person can be listening to your music, he is being surprised, how can it be - this guy looks so... unconvincing, so odd but sings and can compose such songs that one can be fallen into a deep melancholy! I don`t know of others but I was touched by, for example, "Sinä Ja Minä" and "Gravity of love" … but is it possible to explain easily that it`s impossible to write such lyrics according to the business laws, just to touch hearts of young girls. As if you know what to do for that and how to do that. You are great at psychology. We have talked to you already and I remember how you were feeling at that moment because of the Christus leaving. I remember your state and how you were reading the lyrics of a new song… You know, after such moments, I want to at least kick everybody, who are non-believers. It`s a pity that they don`t understand. Or understand but can`t confess, that they are not able to do something like that - not simply to worry but to turn your feelings into lyrics instead of tears …
- I think those people should listen to "Motherfucker - Just Like You" from my new album. It will be an answer from all of us. I`m an ordinary guy because I can feel, because I`m not a cynic and not a dull freak, but those who are not able to feel anything just can`t be called people. Suffering, joy, pain and enjoyment - that`s all a part of music that I compose, that`s a part of myself. Every time from song to song, I never do anything which wouldn`t move myself. What could I think about, what teeny girls when my best friend was divorcing? He had been living for many years with his dear girl but then that was all, their ways parted, everything was collapsing, going to hell. I was next to him, tried to support him in any way and understand. And then ones blame me that I arouse the same feelings from people, that don`t let them become cruel and hard-hearted, though they say it`s impossible to be over wise in our world.
It`s hard to say what is possible and what`s impossible (Author note; I`m trying to explain the story of Danko and the burning heart, Jonne becomes thoughtful for a minute and rubs his Jesus tattoo on his shoulder)
- I think at the end I will have to answer for my work. This tattoo is something between my music and paradise. Somebody sent this idea to me to remember what I`m living for.

- That`s the first song from our first album. It was very personal and important for me. Generally speaking, I always hated tattoos and thought I would never do it but here it is. Never say never!
By the way, about songs, will you compose anything about Russia?
- After the journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow? Of course!
And what exactly?
- I don`t know yet for sure but firstly, I have to settle myself into shape… But I think it won`t be hard to recognise it. Although, it will be difficult to play that, we can`t play balalaika. But probably, it will be something in Slavic style. You know, Finland has always been close to Russia, if you know history, it won`t surprise you that our country had sovereignty comparatively not long ago. It feels like you are sleeping close by a big bear…

Um God likes your style gehts also...hmm, also ich bin ehrlich gesagt alles andere als begeistert von dieser Compilation, müssen sie die jetzt auch noch hier rausbringen wo sie eh alle schon in Finnland bestellt haben?^^ Die sollen sich lieber mal mit dem Album beeilen und auf Tour kommen :P
