I have lots more songs in me but need encouragement. Could you all go to http://www.poetry.com and read my poems (which really are songs) under Debra Charline Hartley. I wrote them about 10 yrs ago and just found a site to put them on. I guess I just wanta know if any looks like a hit bluegrass song. I have the music to go with all of them. I might try and figure out how to record them on the poetry.com site. It gives you that option if I can figure out how to do it. Hi rhuN, I just noticed you must of looked at my songs. I just got my computor back from being fixed so I haven't been on lately. I was using a computor at the library but it wouldn't let me access your address. I have thought about recording. I do have the music set to my songs. I just found a place that records for 35.00 a hour. I'm a little short the $ right now cause it's costing me a couple hundred to get my taxes done this week. Maybe in a mo. or so I can go to get them recorded. Did you like the songs? YOu didn't really say. Thanks for your interest. bluegrassdeb

It's http://www.Poetry.com (you type in Debra Hartley) then look under the middle name Charline. Maybe you can't access it from where you are. I don't know.

...imo the idea behind is good and it expresses your intention well...
but, one thing before I can go on...which sort of people shall listen to this? rather children/teens or rather adults??
well, the song itself seems to be well-written, but to me it sounds rather made for children, to make the situation of - roughly said - life plain to them...you know, some kind of a warning not to trust everyone they meet in life and things like that! Otherwise it could probably and also be ok for adults, and if this was your intention, you should rewrite some details! but if it WAS your intention to write it for children, the song is just...perfect :)
I'll read some other songs if I find some time...cya!

Yeah, you know keep it simple stupid saying. I feel that alot of songs lose their meaning not to mention the ablility for people to sing along if it gets too complicated. I do it for a reason. I know some of the songs I love the best have been easy to sing along with. If this is what your saying......

I found a site called songramp.com where you submit your song and a group of people on the forum tell you what they think of it or how to improve it. It is just what I've been looking for. Thanks again rhuN for your input. deb
