Samurai Legends FAQ
Q: What are the heros currently in SL?
A: Ronin, Shinobi, Ninja, Warlord, Onmyoji, No-Daichi & Yumi & Yari samurai.
Q: What are the "Shrines". What do you get from each? How do you build them?
A: There are 6 different shrines, 3 of them spawn extra units in the lane the shrine was built, the other 3 have other advantages. They can be built by using a Peasant mercenary. Shrines cost 3000 gold and 10 honor each.
- Shrine of Strenght, spawns one extra yari cavalry.
- Shrine of Night, spawns one extra ninja. (ninja has Weak Spot ability)
- Shrine of Fire, spawns one elite archer.
- Shrine of Calling, allows your hero teleport where the Shrine was built.
- Shrine of Merchants, gives free items (life potion, mana potion, scroll of teleportation) and allows you to buy instantly healing potions.
- Shrine of Wealth, gives 45 gold per every 30 seconds to each player in team. (stacks)
Q: What are the "Legends"?
A: Legends are like mercenaries, but they are immortal and their life is timed. They don't deal damage, but they boost your allied troops with auras for 5 minutes. All legends cost 3000 gold and 6 honor.
- Tomoe, increases nearby ranged unit damage by 75%.
- Kambei Shimada, gives aura that reflects 75% of attack damage back to the attacker.
- Tokugawa Ieyasu, increases attack speed by 10% and movement speed by 50%.
Q: What mercenaries can you hire and where can you hire them at?
A: There is a building in your home base where you can hire mercenaries. There are five types of mercenaries available:
- Ashigaru, basic light-melee unit. Costs 150 gold.
- Yari Cavalry, heavy melee unit. Costs 500 gold.
- Ninja, light melee unit that is able to hide during nights. Costs 300 gold.
- Elite Archer, high damage ranged unit. Costs 500 gold.
- Peasant, able to build shrines and repair buildings. Costs 300 gold.
Q: Where are the special shops?
A: The northern special shop, Black Guard, can be accessed from the northern lane between the expansions. The merchant can be found in a cut in the mountain. The other merchant is found in the middle of the lake where you can go from the lower middle lane.
Q: How big is the map?
A: Current file size (ver. 0.85) is roughly 2,5 mb.
Q: When are the new versions released?
A: When they are finished.
Q: Is the hero pool going to be split?
A: Likely not, because of the file size limits number of heros is limited and nooK's current vision doesn't allow splitting it.
Q: Who is, or who are the creators of SL?
A: The map is developed by nooK, but he has received ideas, code&graphics from many other people.
