Doctor Guide or something like that
Lately I have been getting lots and lots questions about my doc
and advice - so I figured maybe make a guide.

Doc Guide Stuff or something like this
The Doctor is profession is one of the most entertaining profession
I played because it's quite different from most for most of the levels.
Now before you say other profession have heals too...
Yes! You're absolutely right. The Doc profession isn't about heals until
you hit level 175. Strange huh? But it's right.
The purpose of a Doctor is not the healing, but to maximize the teams
survival chance and we were given a quite useful toolset for that.

We have the HP Buffs. We have the Heals. We have a Hot. and most important
we have the tools to reduce the damage taken - not by reflect, not by Evades,
    but by init debuffs.
Many doc's i met made the mistake of not using any debuffs before they can
cast ubt. A great mistake because even a few inits can make the difference
between being able to outheal a mob or not outhealing it. Not even talking
    about saving nano.

I'm not much a fan of the cookiecutter setup guides that say best breed,
skills, whatever - but i'll keep a similiar setup for purpose of overview.

    Breed

Pick one. Trox doc get much hp but have high problem with nano. Nanomage
get less hp but more nano. I prefer Solitus for rounded stats but every
    Breed works.

    Abillites
I'm a fan of maxing all but will post how i rate them anyway

Psychic - Allways max it and nearing 150 get as much from gear as you can
without scarificing too much other stuff. It determines how fast your
nanodelta will tick. At 780 psychic it caps at 2sec speed. More on nano delta
    later.

    Intelligence - Nano, Complit trickledown.

Stamina, Agility - Implants, symbs anyone? Stamina also affects your heal
delta tick rate and get's very important at high levels.

Strength - can slack on that a bit.

    Skills
Check auno/aomainframe for nano req. As easy as that.
For the first 100 levels you prolly will want to concentrate on Nanoskills
    as IP are tight.
Allways max Nano Init and Body def plus the usual stuff.
Don't forget First aid, docs have it easy with first aid and using a high
first aid kit to regain nano or save someone is a great benefit.

    Gear
What modifiers do i want on my Gear?
That is highly dependent on levels, while at low levels you want much
nanoskill and nano buffs you can slack on that later.

    Things you are looking for:
Nano Cost reduction - These decrease how much nano you need to cast nanos.
Get as much of it as you can. Nano cost reduction get's capped at 55% for
Nanomages, 50% for Soli/Opi and 45% for trox.

Nano Delta - Nano Delta is the ammount of Nano you regenerate each Nano tick.
The Tick rate is determined by your Psychic. The base rate at which you regain
Nano naturaly is 28 seconds and for each 60 points in nano it decreases by 2
seconds. So at 300 psyhic you will regain nano every 18 seconds, at 600 every
8 seconds and finally at 780 it's capped at 2 seconds. The ammount regenerated
    is also doubled when sitting.
Your main increase to nano delta are implants and i would suggest getting them
in all cluster locations once you have good psychic.

HP - HP is your defense as a Doc. Get HP. A lot! even more! you have no evades,
Cocoon, layers to survive. you only have your init debuff and till it lands you
need to survive on your HP alone. Also high HP allows you to be less watchfull
to the damage you take and keep healing teammates.

Crit Reduction - Very few items buff it but it's so damn useful to a doc. Your
evades stink and you tend to get a few crits in. Everything to reduce the
ammount of crits you take is great.

    Specific Items
Don't bother with Tier. It's. The. Worst. Tier. Ever.
The only good thing are Tier 3 Shoulderpads.

When starting a new Doc this stuff will last you a long time - Ordered by how I rate them usefullness vs costs
Head: Cure for Baldness / Ai Hood
Chest: Elysium Protector Cuirass (best pre 150 armor by far)
Arms: Notum Focus / Sided Carb / Carb / Preds
Gloves: Preds (-2 Nano cost reduction are too good to pass up)
Legs: Preds / Sided Carb / Carb
Feet: Preds / Sided Carb / Carb

Pads I would get 2xViral Triumvate eggs as soon as you can get them on.
The CAS is useless to a doc, normal carb Armor is better then that. Sure CAS has a few HP and a few Evades but Carb has way more nano, nano init and more ncu. All the stuff you want at low levels.

Later you'll want to get in Combined Paramedic's for HP, Nano, Nanocost reduction, or complement that with a Combined Officers piece for Nano if you are having trouble with that.

The Reactive Armor parts are better then most ql 200ish Paramedic parts and are worth raiding if you have the time.
The Jathos Armor that drops inside Biodome is even better.

Here's a list of stuff that's good to use
    Setup I used at level 100ish: http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=47224
    Stuff i used at level 150ish: http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=47227
Stuff i wish to aquire: http://auno.org/ao/equip.php?saveid=39504
