With a penchant for cowboy boots and a flair for the musical arts Bubba began a quest for the new sound. Having spent most of his formative years as the Omni Box player in the house band at Shady Rest Retirement Home, New Koba, and fishing in the Corellian rivers, Bubba began to feel that his long existence was falling short of meaning. There were only so many times a Ho-Tep could play the 'Freedom March of the Rebellion' song to the elderly or wounded rebel soldiers in between their evenin meals and nap times. And when he would try to introduce some free-form jazz fusion to break up the day, being hit on the head from flying pieces of fried kaadu nuggets was far from pleasurable. And if you thought the old fellas were bad, well some of those old ladies would break into his room and steal all his chocos from the biscuit tin! These were ruthless times.
Fishing in the streams and lakes helped take his mind of such low ebbs as picking nugget crumbs from his horns was not enjoyable, and so it came to pass, enough was enough!, if those old timers were not going to appreciate his efforts to ease them during their final days, well thats it, he was off!.
And there it was in a nutshell, one sunny afternoon whilst casting his line it came to him, he must leave; he must leave on a quest to find the new sound, there was a new note somewhere out there, in between B & C, but he had to find it.
The following morning, Bubba picked up his rod and tackle, rolled up some fresh socks and underpants into a backpack and with Kloo Horn in hand he said his good byes to the old boys at the home and he hitched a ride to Coronet. From there he took the shuttle to Mos Entha, where upon his journey would begin.....the quest to find the new sound........could he handle the fame??
