That's right, all of the actors in this movie are either white or African-American. _________________ "Death is just another path, one that we all must take" |

I hate it when they do that (the stations that is) Don't know why they just can't show what they are supposed to.....

It's Monday and the beginning of the semester I wonder how many students will come though my office today. _________________ Enelya |

awww I hate school starts so much. And no school day depressed me more than this one. I got back three tests. Two with seven points (which is still ok) and one with 5 points. Why the hell do I learn? I learn and learn but no test looks like if I had learned... It's so depressing. _________________

Don't worry Idril, it's not the end of the world. I was a straight A student until my second year of high school when I got lazy. Just cos your report card could be better doesn't mean you're not smart!

I was actually saying to somebody yesterday how my memory has gotten so bad that I can't retain information anymore. I remember something for an hour and then it's gone *lol* Imagine how well we would have done in school if we all had photogenic memories! _________________ "Death is just another path, one that we all must take" |

7 and 5 points ... wow - sounds like my tests back in 19** LOL - I wasnīt a good student - too lazy - I had to many other things on my mind. I already told you, Idril, that itīs important in our days to be a good student, but itīs not the most important thing. Well, just yesterday I had to fill out some paperworks and they asked for my school education and what Iīve done after school and stuff ... damn, this was depressing !!! I had to write, that I never finished school and although I was going back to school years later to learn a profession, I never really worked in this profession because of my kids - Iīve been a mom and helped my ex in the office (because he is self-employed) and so I finally had a job, but itīs no qualification at all ... but still this is not the end of the world !!! I KNOW what I can do and learned a lot about my abilities and qualities - so no reason to worry! But for you itīs still enough time - try to give your best at school - even itīs just another 5 points in the next test !!! I know that you are a smart girl !!! And I know that you can make it. Donīt be depressed. The next one will be better again! _________________ Thanks for being a member of the NewNativeSpirit-family! |

Just got another homework (which had the same meaning as a test for the teacher -.-) back. Agaon only 7 points. Why the hell do I learn? It's not worth it. For example biology and history. I learned days, even weeks for those tests!!! Only to get 7 and 5 points back. It's just depressing. I have learned more for this schoolyear than in all other years before. But slowly I start to wonder if I really should go on learning like this. I know it's not the end of the world. But it's depressing. I hope it wont take me to much time to finish my book and I hope I can publish it. Imagine it would be a great book and I could become a great author like Steven King or J.K. Rowling! Making money with books! That would be so cool! But I don't think that I will be as lucky as Christopher Paolini (the author of Eragon). _________________

ok - let me tell you this: forget about your book for a while !!! Keep on writing - np. But maybe you put a little bit too much energy into this ... I know what it means to publish a book - my uncle just had finished his book and he is now trying to find a publisher ... itīs taking all his time. Plus I donīt want you to be depressed, because you wonīt find a publisher right away ... donīt make it a main topic in your life !!! If itīs meant to happen that you will publish your book, then it will happen !!! Donīt force it and leave it for your spare time ...

As for your school test, you should try to learn in a different way. Sometimes you learn for weeks and you feel like you know everything for sure, but your brain already deleted some of the stuff again ... so think about what might be wrong in the way you are learning - talk to your teachers and ask them for help - talk to your friends, maybe they can help. _________________ Thanks for being a member of the NewNativeSpirit-family! |

It was one of my dreams in school to become a writer/author. Unfortunately the career guidance people basically told me there was no future it in cos there really isn't any scope for that kind of work here. So I gave up. Shouldn't these people be encouraging us?! Anyway, I'm still determined to write that book one day and get it published, and you should too! _________________ "Death is just another path, one that we all must take" |

The book isn't my main topic. It's important for me, but there are other things that are even more important to me. And about forgetting some things. I forget things really fast (you know how fast) but that stuff for the test usually stays in my head untill I need it. Sometimes I'm the one who explains the whole stuff to my classmates.

Thatīs true, but she can take advices ... Iīve already done lots of mistakes in my life and learned from it. I know how she is feeling about school ... I felt the same way and I had noone to tell me to keep on studying. In our days itīs so important to finish school, otherwise youīll have a problem finding a job or going to university and stuff ... itīs not right. Iīm still thinking that there is more than your school education, but thatīs what counts and therefore itīs important for her to keep on studying for her tests. I didnīt finish school and managed my life somehow, but it could have been in a much better and more easy way, if I would have finished school.

I am the first one to say to keep on following your dreams and try to make them come true, because Iīm still doing it that way. Idril is still very young - she can learn from our experiences. She should finish school and learn a profession or keep on studying - whatever - and she can work on being a writer at the same time. As long as she is not making any money with her writing, she needs to have a sure income for a living. Right? I know her and I know that she is studying hard - I understand that she is disappointed - I would be!!! But I do also know that she is a strong person with strong believes and a dream. Iīm not really worried. She can make it !!! _________________ Thanks for being a member of the NewNativeSpirit-family! |
