Hi all
The weather here in the UK is awful at the moment. The heaviest and most prolonged rain for years is resulting in floods in areas not usually affected. These floods are not caused by swollen rivers but by the sheer volume of water falling on already drenched land and with drains unable to cope. Roads resemble rivers and homes and shops are swamped by water up to 4 feet deep in places as water pours through towns and villages. In Ludlow, a bridge has collapsed, houses have been evacuated and a second bridge is also being monitored for signs of damage. Other areas mentioned on the news reports are Derbyshire, Sheffield, Yorkshire, Shropshire.

This is just to let you know that I'm thinking of all friends and forum members in the UK. I'm OK, no flooding near to me, so far. For anyone affected I do hope that the weather improves soon, hopefully you are insured and can clean up and return to something like normality as soon as possible.

Please let me know you are safe, albeit wet and soggy

I'm with you on this one. Having just gone through it myself, I do understand how awful this weather can be for families and their homes.

Finally we moved the Pasha Bulka out to see after 3 weeks stranded on Nobby's Beach after our bad weather. It was an environmental disaster waiting to happen. But fortunately, the salvagers done thier job well and Nobby's is back to its pristine beach that it is.

Hoping all our UK friends are coping well with this crazy summer's weather...from what I've heard, the rain and flooding have yet to relent. Been a crazy year all 'round...floods...monsoons...bridge collapses...wildfires...earthquakes....need some more positive energy to flow!!!!!
