Hi all,
here a part from unknown crash site.
The oval rating plate show: "Stromberg Part List No. 395224"
Some other part numbers on the assembly was found:
P-70447 (Lever)
397154 (Lever)
T9-39.... (Fence / Mother)
393526 (Bushing)
Maybe someone can help to identify this part and on which aircraft it was installed ?
Regards
Nils

Roy,
yes I know, but I´m not sure if Stromberg built other equipment too :n169:
I will ask the manufacturer, maybe they can help:

Nils, they also made radio equipment during ww2, including the BC-348. your part looks like a carb to me though

Nils,
it looks very similar to the PD16B Carb from a Merlin engine possibly Lancaster. Or it could also be a PD18a1 carb from eithger a Spitfire or Mosquito? Do you have the rest of the carb casting as there should be another dataplate mounted on the throttle or carb body with the PD dahs number stamped into it.
