A collection of quotes in English. If you come across a nice quote, just write it down, whatever it may be. It may teach you an expression or two, and people may have fun guessing where the quote is from. Far too often do I read a nice quote and later forget it again. Don't let it happen to you! Write it down - right away!

Starting off, two quotes I came across today, one of which I had written down before and forgotten about.
01. "If I were the rain, that binds together the earth and the sky, which in all eternity will never mingle, would I be able to bind people's hearts together?"
And another one, Viv has heard it once before today:
02. "In the end, the world we live in is in darkness..." "That's why we seek the light."
Both quite nice passages, I think. Nice translation too (not by me) - I'm sure you can guess what language they were in originally. The first one is kind of nostalgic, the second one could almost be true...

See Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" comic series, published by Vertigo. Death is is one of the Eternal. Some of her siblings are Dream (a.k.a. The Sandman), Desire, Destruction, and a few others.
Death also has two of her own books called
"Death - The High Cost of Living" and
"Death - The Time of Your Life"
I highly recommend both of the above.
