You can use various software programs such as Acid or Mixmeister to shorten (or lengthen) almost any sample. Is it a loop that you wanna shorten??

Not really, it's a piece cut out of a song and too long, I guess I still dont know how to do the cutting thing... :( its like this woman sings "hit me with the rythm stick" but I wanted the "hit me with the rythm" and make it end right there, cant seem to be able to.

You can do edits like this with software like MixMeister, Acid, Abbleton, Cool Edit, & Pro Tools just to name a few. Once you master the cut & paste flow...you can do anything. I use MixMeister! If you want, set me up with the sample & I'll cut it 4 ya so you can do your thang with it.

Thank you for the offer! But what I mean is, for general samples I would use, not just one.
Sometimes I get samples that are too long for my taste, take this famous "Let me clear my throat, make some noooooise". What if I only want the "let me clear my throat, but cut off the rest". I can't seem to get the timing right....

The only way I know to do this is with the audio editing software (such as the ones listed). Once you get the samples adjusted to your liking, most of these programs allow you to export the sample to various formats (such as .mp3, .wav, or .wma). Once they are exported, you have a new sample that is set the way you want it every time you wanna use it.
