The Story of Marath a'vron Tar d'Manetheren
Ok, this was my project for raising to Gaidin. This is the strory of our forum and you can find it from the frontpage :) . It comes a bit late but I needed some time to finish it but now it's finally done. I hope you enjoy the story and such other blah...actually the first ever that I've written. Any corrections to the language and spelling are welcome :p . But anyways here it is

The Story of Marath a'vron Tar d'Manetheren

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose on the Almoth Plain. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.
North and east the wind blew beneath the setting sun and the darkening sky, over the River Andahar and the Paerish Swar Dark Wood, over the Mountais of Mist where the once great nation Manetheren used to be. There in the foothills of the Mountains of Mist, Moiraine Damondred was riding out of Manetheren. She had been part of something in there that certainly violated every Tower law. Even then she and Siuan had finally seen, once it became apparent to them that the Black Ajah had too much influence in the ranks of the White Tower, that it was a necessary thing to do for the fate of the world rested on this thing. She was still very shocked and frightened to her bones that the Black Ajah existed but she was ready to do what was necessary to see the Black Ajah fall.
There had been several of hers and Siuans well chosen blue friends in Manetheren to see the new organisation called Marath a'vron Tar d'Manetheren, Those of Manetheren Who Watch the Tower, being born. But the one chosen to lead them still surprised her. Her name was Lyuna Ishizu, a sister from the Red Ajah. Moiraine certainly had had no fondnes for the Red Ajah but after she had met Luyna, then a newly raised to the shawl, she had seen that maybe the Red Ajah would have an important part to play in the future concerning the men that could channel. This wasn’t though the usual way the Red’s handled them, which meant prisoning and stilling them. She and Lyuna had shared the view that maybe the stilling wasn’t the wisest thing to do to the men that could channel. That had left them with the question what to do with them. They had finally agreed that maybe the best thing would be controlling them. This probably meant that they would have to be taken as Warders and Lyuna knew that there were some sisters among the Reds that would be willing and could do it. But now Moiraine had to concentrate on the most important mission of her life, finding the Dragon Reborn before the Black Ajah could.

Lyuna watched the little town they had in Manetheren with pride. It was allready several years since she had seen her close and trusted friend Moiraine after she had ridden out of Manetheren to continue her lonely mission to find the Dragon Reborn . Moiraine had sent in some reports how her hunt was going on but there seemed to be just too little progress and Lyuna feared that they might be too late. The place had grown considerably during those years thanks to their intensive recruiting. Soon they might be able to raise the first Aes Sedais of their own. Fortunately they had been able to get copies of the the Oath Rod and the the Three Arches before they left the Tower, which meant they could do the raisings to Accepted and more important to Aes Sedai in the proper way. The Novices and the Accepted had much more intensive and harder training in Manetheren than in the White Tower but it was necessary because they desperately needed their numbers to grow before Tarmon Gai'Don. They all were sure that it wasn’t that far away anymore.
The knock on the door brought her back from her thoughts. “Come in.”, Lyuna said. A girl dressed in the Novice whites entered the room and made the proper curtsies. “I was sent to inform you, Mother, that you should come and see what our research team has discovered”, the Novice said. Lyuna sent out the novice with the message that she would arrive as soon as possible.
More good news for a change. The research team in Manetheren had worked miracles allready discovering some long lost talents like Travelling, Balefire and the making of Angreal.
She looked at the latest report in her hand that had arrived this morning and read the report once more that simply said: “The fisher holds the rudder.”
This meant that Siuan had been raised to the Amyrlin Seat, the youngest ever, in the White Tower. They had worked on that so long and now they finally had achieved one of their goals. This must certainly mean that the Black Ajah had less control in the Tower and their attention was definately on Siuan and off from Manetheren. It put Siuan to great danger but Lyuna was sure Siuan could handle the situation. Lyuna put the report back to the little black finely carved box on her table and locked it. Just to be sure she wove a little warding on it so that if anyone but she tried to open the box it would burn and with it, all the documents it contained. The warding was so small that it would be impossible to see it until it was too late. With a sigh she set out to see what the research team had found.
