I don't understand, why the fans don't like this album...
It was so long-awaited! And besides it's very good, I think.
This album has such variety of music styles to everyone's taste: rap, eurodance,
pop, chill-out, trance and so one...
You think, that Matiz is better, than Christensen. Well, I disagree! With their "Blood
of the Rose" they just repeat yourself, because it sounds similar to "Club Bizarre",
but the original Club bizarre will be anyway always better!
And by the way all members of Matiz produced something on "Out of Wilhelmsburg":
Hoinkis - Good love bad love
Panarinfo - Fall into all
Hauss - Explain the universe
Trust me, I have this CD!
I don't wanna offend somebody, but maybe you just change your mind...

I agree with Your Kritiker. Album Out Of Wilhelmsburg quite worthy the modern trend and development, and it has kept spirit and kindness U96. Especially I like tracks Ist das mein Leben, Most Of The Time, Good Love Bad Love (all recently is pleasant more and more), Follow The Sun (but eurodans version with a voice was much better), Elektroland Is Here, Fall Into All, Explain The Universe.
And that fans U96 were up in arms against Alex is quite expected, and is not groundless. Though certainly it is a lot of prejudices. But album Out of Wilhelmsburg speaks that U96 are still alive! U96 Forever!!!!!

Of course the album is experimental for U96, but we all should live in present. Not only U96 becomes pop, the whole music is pop and rap today. Unfortunately electronic music is not so IN as in the 90s. But it's good, that U96 is still alive. And I'm afraid, that Christensen can read the fans attacs on this album and won't do anything more for U96 in the future... Thats why we should be more loyal to him and U96!

And it is logical, that electronic music should go further, not erasing the turned out successes. At Christensen the truth is bent for to a pop-music not peculiar U96. But he is feeling kindness. It harmoniously entered in legendary our six.

In what they are right. But the new album has shown, that U96 are alive! As songs in it were done made by other people, instead of Alex is obviously not his style.
"Thats why we should be more loyal to him and U96! " - we should speak the opinion, it is on the contrary important. But from such criticism what pour now on Alex is a truth any illness.

the album dosent apply for me, it´s to weird. there are some ok tunes like some mix of red light and light up my life but every track on this record lacks thepower and energy U96 stands 4 in my opinion. and the worst track of the all ever is fall into all i feel sick when i´m listening to it.
dont get me wrong i think alex is a great music producer and dj but i shouldent release this album under the name u96, sure i´v benn whating 4 a new u96 for so long but this does not sound like u96 anymore.
as 4 Potemkin they have prove the can get the original u96 sound into their music but they lack the commercial thing. and what the hell they even got problems fixing a record label that whant to publish them. blood of a rose is a remake of club bizzare, "It´s ok" is good but it repit´s it self to mutch.
when U96 worked together (alex&matiz) they where perfektly balanced i dont know what happend or who to blame (if there is any one to blame) but the ship started to go down whit seven wonders.
for me i can say music was better before :lol:

I have to admit, it wasn't that easy to get along with OOW (Out of Wilhelmburg) first. But after I have listened to all the songs again and again I was suprised that the songs are still so interesting. The sound has still a deeper meaning, but every one is right who says it wouldn't really sound like former releases anymore. Yes, it doesn't sound so, but where's the problem? I love music and I like progression. For me U96 is still alive.
By the way: I like "Fall Into All" very much. First I also thought "oh my god, holy shit..." and stuff, but it's really a great piece of sound. I like the e-guitars in the background. U96 has never been so... so rock :P

The opinion of this great forum's leader is really important and wise!
I forgot to say, that Yasmin K. is at last an official member of U96! (she's singin in "Underwater" & "Follow the sun"). And everyone who likes "Amigos Forever", "Angel Of Darkness" and "Rhythm Of The Night" can enjoy her nice vocals again.
Another reason to like this album.

Thanx 4 the scans, but i really must ask again after looking @ tracklist on produed and stuff who the hell is Shayen Matiz? He/she/that/they :wink: are in the credit 4 good love/bad love track. He/she/that/they :wink: has a great remix of Doktorspile track.
i have google the name but only get the Dokterspile singel info.
and wich mix team is Sh 101?

that's what I also found strange, there are a lot of tracks with Matiz.
The thing some people and also I think, is that the tracks alread excisted but after the last breakup the tracks lay around, and they used them on OOW

i almost had a stroke when i heard U96 was releasing a new album... i was so excited to listen to this band i enjoyed for so many years...
it was a pleasant surprise... and 2 first singles were just great especially verbei...
i did not understand why people were so against them... maybe too commercial ?? maybe change of style was too sudden ???... don't know... maybe they should understand that to keep a band alive... its needs to change style that people don't get too bored...
and we are in 2008... so we could not expect stuff like in the 90's !! it would be too odd...
in fact i didn't find that this album was "that" different in u96's style... except 2 singles... the rest was really u96-like tracks... and i would not be surprised that some of them were old unreleased songs...
i found strange that they put "das boot 2001"... in the tracklist... it does not belong to it !!!
in summary... it is definitly a good album... with interesting songs... but not u96 best album...
i hope they will be follow up on it ! :D

I agree complete with you, it is a great listening album and also U96, there are a lot of negative reactions about this album, but I was pleasant surprised about this album
