    PICTURES/JAN07: TASMANIA! (NORTHWEST/WEST-COAST)

    01)

    St. Kilda. Beach and Pier.

    02

    Melb City Skyline.

    3

January, 1st, late afternoon. On the ferry towards Tasmania. Australia's only island state in the very south east. Once connected to the mainland, not anymore after the last ice ages for the water level increased.

    4

And here we are... In the very morning of Jan, 2nd. The sun is just about to rise.

    5

Well, yeah, I would suggest we are far away from home.

    6

Watching out for the world famous platybus (Schnabeltier). Nah, have not been lucky.

    7

    8

    9

    10

    11

A bit further towards North West coast. A place called Table Cape.

    12

    13

    14

Hm. Jup, for some reason I feel there is one pic too much of me and this - nevertheless - nice beach in the background. Whoops...

    15

    16

Donnie gets attacked by seagull. Kind of. Hee.

    17

    Jump or not to jump?

    18

Another walking track in front of us... Donnie seriously got mad of walking around that day - maybe I was just too lazy. But we really walked a lot. Actually Tasmania was especially about once thing: walking around. And we have a car!

    19

    Dead shark, mjam!

    20

Sunset. On this evening we had a extended discussion about having kids and allowing or not allowing them to do drugs and all this stuff... a wonderful talk about life and I seriously felt lucky to be here with this guy which is supposed to be my best friend on a certain way, even though I never really admitted that to myself. Well, who cares. I love you, Donnie, I love you, too.

    21

The following are pictures from top of a pretty famous hill called The Nut we gonna see on pic number #28. They even erected a lift for lazy hikers, stupid! Well, Donnie and me already trained for the Overland Track and walked around with filled up backpacks. Goddamnit...

    22

    23

    24

    25

    26

Mhm... I felt like in future movie watching those trees.

    27

    Hee. Any comments?

    28

The Nut (Circular Head) in Stanley.

    29

The most western located town on Tasmania's mainland is called Arthur River. Ahh... and this is the sunset near that town. (X

    30

    31

    32

    33

Next day. Only one of several stunning waterfalls we visited...

    34

Oh my goddess... I was already proud to have made it to the middle of the first "steps" of the fall without falling down before a crazy bunch of little kids arrived who just climbed until the very veeeery top of it without much effort. +sigh+

    35

And another attempt to climb s'thing. This time it is a pretty tall gum tree, one of the bigger ones... reeeally taaall!

    36

And I'm not gonna tell you if Donnie really made it until the top of it! Haw!

    37

    Insect's paradise.

    38

On our way to Cradle Valley, the starting point of the Overland Track.

    39

Franklin - Gordon - Wild Rivers National Park.

    40

    41

    42

    43

For some reason everything is Gordon in Tasmania - apparable even more than on the rest of Down Under... well, I'm proud to wear the name of Tassie's largest lake XD. Hoeh.

    44

    45

    46

    47

    48

Hydro, eh? Goddamn it... Actually I'm annoyed now not to have altered the sign. Well, next time.

So Gordon's nothing to do with Hydra, you're rather Hydro!
    I knew it!
