I had a quite good New Years eve. I celebrated it with my family and an aunt. We ate tacos and watch a little Tv. Maybe this sounds stupid to you but noone of us feeled to have a big party.
On Tv they aired"The Neverending story" and "Ivanhoe"....AGAIN.

I don't think that's strange. I haven't partied hard on NYE since 2000. I think the quiet celebrations can be better. I spent this one watching movies with my oldest friend. It was nice and relaxing. It's so expensive to go out on NYE here anyway, so a lot of people stay at home.

i spend my new year with my family ,but when it was around 11i went back to my home ( we were celebrating ti in my sisters home .she lives across the street , :lol: )
and i was watching tv ( btw i went to my home caus ei didn't want to leave my dog alone ,didn't know if he would get scared of the fireworks ,ya know)
well i was watching tv and all of a sudden i heard the door and my dog was barking ,their came 1 of my nefews( who lived right next door) to celebrate me with the new year
i was shocked
i said ,it's not yet pasr 12
he smiled and pointed ta the clock and i was stunned .
and was like ,ok
happy new year and may it be a good one ,better than 2006
and i laughed ,i couldn't believe i didn't noticed it was 2007
hiihih
so for me the changing fot he new year was like a normal day
even when i went to my family to celebrate them i went out of their within 5 minutes to go back to my dog
and we went back to watch the movie again

I agree with eddiesfever....I spent the time working on a puzzle and watch Law and Order SVU - it was nice to spend some quite time with my thoughts and self - course after the days I'd had being sick - I really didn't want to over do it.

At the end of our street there are some people who are building a fire and there's so much smoke, I can't see the houses a cross the street?!
The houses a cross the street are about 20 mtrs away...

The little light you see is from a light outside a house a cross the street, that's all you see.
My husband is going to take some shots of the firworks and I'll post them here.
You might see how much smoke there's from the fires.

:shock: oh wow - thats cool - but a little bit scary too. I remember last year we were invited to friends who live in the centre of Berlin. At 12 o'clock there was so much smoke you couldn't breath anymore...

We didn't see the fireworks. Too much fog and smoke. I heard a lot but didn't see anything. My daughter was standing about 2 mtrs in front of me and I couldn't see her. No fun for us... :cry:

I stayed over an hour at my sister´s and the kids had lots of fun !!! We were sleeping in this morning (of course !!! LOL) and I´m still kind of tired. It´s 3 pm back here and my daughter´s friend will get picked up soon - I guess, we´ll just be lazy and I´ll do some sports later (just to feel better and start to make my resolutions come true ... LOL) - although I have a headache. Didn´t drink or smoke too much ... don´t know where this headache comes from :?
Hope everybody had a great night and I believe that this year will bring some big changes again ... hopefully only good ones.

The headache can come from sleeping too long, LOL.
My headache is gone now. Had too much to drink, allthough, for some people it isn't that much, but then again....I don't drink that much, so I can't take it that good, LOL. I had 1 bottle of beer, 2 glasses of champagne and 1/2 glass of wine....

I have to admit I slept when the new started. My ears hurt very much and our dog was so scared so I took her into my room, where she stayed under my bed for the night. So I slept when everyone elsecelebrated the new year :roll:

Well we got some snow - just a dusting but it's terrible cold and the roads were slick - they've been out salting them however not the neighborhoods. Glad I don't have to return to work till next Monday.

Aww, sorry I didn't reply sooner! I spent New Year's at my friend's house and drank a bottle of wine to myself *lol* I think my favourite thing about New Year's is when they show on the news how different cities around the world celebrated it - now that is really cool!

My house has been battling sinus infections- so we all went to bed early on New Years. I was ready at 10:30pm but hubby kept me up by watching a movie. Finally at 11:30 I was like "can you turn the volume down or shut the d@*$ thing off already!!" I'm not always pleasant when I'm sick- but who can be when you feel awful? Needlesstosay the two bottles of wine I bought are still unopened and will probably stay that way until by birthday in April. :roll: Hmmm... maybe I shouldn't wait that long. They may have an experation date or something. :twisted:

I should be in the bed but am out on the couch. Keri went to a concert so I'm waiting on her. I'll lay down on the couch till she gets in. We both have to be up at 6 am to be at work at JCP by 8. I've been sleeping in so much these last two weeks.
Have been feeling somewhat better but still have a way to go. My eye finally cleared up - after 2 months. My doctor thinks it's stress.
