    House Rules
    Message Board Rules

We reserve the right to remove any post or user from our message boards — although we have no duty to do so. When posts are deleted, it’s usually because they violate one or more of our house rules. Repeated violation of these rules may result in the suspension of your posting privileges.

    Specific House Rules:

Be polite! We’re a friendly, welcoming community and want it to stay like that. Don’t be rude or abrasive. If you’re pleasant to others, they’ll be pleasant back. We all have disagreements now and again but we don’t insult people or get angry with them. Remember to be articulate and witty. We like that. Forget about being rude or mean, we don’t like that! Also, offensive, illegal or mature-themed material is not allowed.

Have fun….but not at the expense of others! We like to have fun; we enjoy a laugh and a joke as long as that’s all it is. We don’t like the ridiculing of fellow community members. If you keep clear of doing that, we’ll keep clear of doing that to you.

Please keep all personal information off of our forums. This includes names, addresses, and phone numbers of site owners, or even members. This type of behavior never leads to good things, and because we respect your privacy, we ask that you respect the privacy of those around you. Posting any type of personal information, or the sharing of personal information in any solicitation of personal information will result in a warning.

SPAM! We don’t like it and we’re sure you don’t either. We’re proud of our site and want it to be the best. We don’t mind it if you’re from a competing site but we don’t like it if you spam your site here. So don’t advertise your site on ours and we won’t come and advertise our site on yours. We’re also not at all keen on you posting and asking for people to visit your site and become members. We wouldn’t do that to you so it’s only right you don’t do it to us. Please don't attempt to promote personal referral links through spam posts, or spam links to outside congas. It does you no good, and clutters our forum. Keeping our forum clean of referral and conga spam posts makes this a great place for everyone.

We live by words online, so we don’t allow obscene, racist or sexually explicit language. Personal attacks are not permitted. We reserve the right to remove posts that are abusive, hateful, or defame or insult anyone. We also reserve the right to remove posts that are off-topic or not in English.

It is illegal to harass or threaten anyone. We take threats, harassment and stalking very seriously. Posts that might be construed as such may be deleted and made available to the proper law enforcement officials.

No solicitations or advertisements are allowed. This includes advertisements for your business, your own online endeavors or the latest get-rich-quick scheme.

You may link to other informational Web sites when relevant to the discussion, but links to commercial sites are generally not allowed.

Choose a username carefully. You may not use names that are offensive, that suggest illegal activities or that are meant to imitate other users. Any such names will be blocked from posting on our message boards.

You must respect the privacy of individuals. This means no posting of phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers or any other private information. We discourage users from posting such information even about themselves, as we cannot control how that information may be used beyond our message boards.

Good manners online means that you don’t post the same note more than once. The online word for posting many times on one topic is “spamming.” We don’t allow it.

You participate at your own risk on the bulletin boards, in chat rooms and in e-mail. You take responsibility for postings under your username and use the information provided here at your own risk. The staff takes no responsibility for the content or opinions posted here.

We’re a forgiving community. We realise that sometimes things can be said that aren’t meant or are taken the wrong way. We also realise that sometimes people’s emotions get the better of their judgement. We’re not quite so forgiving of people who just seem to want to cause trouble.

Please keep these rules in mind as you use our message boards. Thanks for participating.
