Sorry to interrupt this interesting conversation ladies..

Masha the first picture of Mick is just fantastic! They should put it on the musician section on the official site... have you checked out the photos? Mick's not too bad but I don't think that the band got to chose their one pictures...

Anyway, thanks again, back from where I've interrupted you:

Which photos didn't you like, Via? There were better ones to choose from for a couple of the guys, I will admit...but I like the action shots, I'll definitely take this lot over that Simplified shoot.

I agree with you about the Simplified shots, and I get the aim of wantig pictures in a relaxed contest, but I thought that Dee, Steve and Kenji were not pictured as they really are, if you know what I mean.

I quite like Dave's one though.

You can't always please everyone, I guess!

P.S.I have added a link to Lucca's photo, there's plenty more.

Had a look at the pictures again, and I saw a common theme among the ones you didn't like. None of them were playing their instruments (or in Dee's case, singing). I noticed the same thing. Did you get the program from this tour? There are pictures of all three of them practicing their individual crafts, quite nice ones even...would have been nice if those were used, to keep the theme consistent. I just didn't say anything 'cuz I figure most on here are sick of me banging on about anything relating to a certain bassist... :D

(But the one shot of him playing his bass in that program IS a very nice one...that trademark face-splitting grin... 8) )

Can't please everyone is right. *laughs*

 You're right! Dee and Steve are the only two who aren't doing their thing in those shots!
I shoud try to remember you have some training in Freud's art, if I'm not mistaken. :D

About the program, well I have to confess that I have an issue with programs... the price really puts me off. I'd rather get the t-shirt!! 8)

I do indeed have a psychology background...it was one of my majors for my bachelor's (one C grade away from department honors; the rest of the classes I got top marks in and aced my thesis), and I'm currently doing a Master of Arts in psych. But really, all I've learned about people is simply what I've observed...people fascinate me and I love just watching people behave. Just doing what they do, whatever it is. How they interact...how they react...

The program is worth the price--it's actually cheaper than the Simplified one and it has better pictures (in my humble opinion). Plus the bright yellow inner cover is great for signatures.

As for my flaunting of my loyalties...you'd better do a poll on that one, Via. I know one lovely lady in New Jersey that might disagree with you...  :D ...and who knows who else.

Interesting, I quite like the subject myself even though I've only studied it as a philosophical theory rather than an applied science. I'd like to do my PhD in sociolinguistics, so I'll need to study it a bit more I guess. If I had the freedom... sweet word.... I'd like to come to the US to study for a while, but I have chosen a different path when I was younger, and now there are little bossy persons who trust me with their lives... poor sweet angels!

Actually one of my dearest friends is now a Psychologist and works in rehab.
When we were about 14 as a revenge for dating someone else he began offering me unsolicited and irritating counseling. He already looked the part, he even had a short beard and a deep calm voice.
One summer night we were on the beach and he was walking in front of me talking with friends. It was quite dark, but I noticed a packet of cigarettes bulking in his jeans pocket.
As I objected very much to this smelly habit, I literally kicked his butt :devil and in doing so stretched a muscle in my leg for the amusement of all the gang and his delight.
While limping home leaning on him, I had to endure his theories that hurting my leg was a way of punishing myself for trying to hurt him and blablabla...
It's quite funny to think that he actually went on to become useful! Not to me though, now that he's trained he refuses to talk about it...

Am I off topic enough or do you want me to carry on?! :D

The program: how much was it this time? I didn't even ask! I was too eager to get to my seat on the night!

A poll, you know what, it might be a good idea! I'll have to think of a nice title for it... any suggestions folks? :-D

Off topic? *waves dismissive hand* Fuggeddaboudit.

Sociolinguistics, eh? Very interesting field...perhaps we can discuss off-forum. As for studying in the States...maybe wait until the kids are older, one is never too old for education. :D
Interesting story about your experiences with a psychologist!! Too bad he shoveled the theory at you...would have been fun to observe all of his hang-ups and throw some theory right back at him. Clinical psychologists in particular often need their overinflated egos punctured every now and again. :devil (My ex was/is doing a PhD in clinical; his classmates had all the charm and social grace of a boll weevil.)

Program was 8 quid. The Simplified one was 10 or 12 on the nights...

And I'll just sit back and watch on this poll if you do it...but for the record, I want folks to be completely honest with me. If ya think I babble on about Steve too much, SAY SO!!!!! 8)

After all, a classy guy like him deserves a well-behaved fan. :top
