All Down The Line - Rolling Stones
    Hi all,
Another quick message from me to say here's a link to the lyrics for the song All Down The Line originally by the Rolling Stones that is included in the SR set list for this tour.

    http://www.oldielyrics.com/lyrics/the_rolling_stones/all_down_the_line.html

I'm still searching for a link to a recording but if anyone finds a link before me please post it here.

Don't panic, I found a couple...here's a link to a sound bite of the original by the Rolling Stones

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000000W5L/sr=1-10/qid=1154072011/ref=sr_1_10/103-0369281-2999041?ie=UTF8&s=music#moreAboutThisProduct

If the link above doesn't work here's another one

thank you Redlollipop. though i found out some info on those 2 new songs they perform this tour myself a little while aog, i`m still trying to account for the choice. pity the Debris sample cant be available on my computer but the other one sounds so rockand roll can hardly substitue M jagger for another Mick in it in my head lol though its impossible to imagine the latter spoil any thing singable anyway.
anyway were you to any concerts Redlollipop (or whoever happens to read) this summer to have anything to add in response to my reply?

All Down The Line - Rolling Stones
    Hi Masha,
Thanks for your comments. First of all sorry about the problem with the link to Debris, not sure of the reason, it worked when I tried it first but after I posted the link and tried it again it didn't work. I've now found and added another link to both Debris and All Down The Line - just hope they work.

I am only able to go to one gig this tour - Warwick Castle and what a great night that was. Mick introduced Debris by informing us that it was written by Ronnie Lane and he was dedicating the song to him. I hadn't heard the song before so couldn't compare the SR version to the original but as always with SR it sounds brilliant.

If I remember correctly Mick didn't introduce or give us any information about All Down The Line and again this was another song I'd not heard before so once again couldn't compare it to the original. Hearing the SR version I thought it sounded more 'blues' in the style of the Robert Johnson covers - Come On In My Kitchen/I Asked Her For Water etc than Rock n Roll. Agreed, Mick's voice isn't the same as Mick J but both versions of All Down The Line sound great to me.

Have you been to any of the concerts yet? If not, I hope that you are able to go to one soon and both of these songs will be included in the SR set list.

Thank you for the links Redlollipop! I agree with your comment on "all down the line", it has a different texture compared to the original, two Micks, two musical characters, two songs.

    love

    All Down The Line
    Hi Masha,
Many thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to learn of your circumstances, I had a daughter who was in a wheelchair for 12 years due to illness until her untimely but expected death so I do understand how difficult it is to get around. I do not know your other personal circumstances, which may also prevent you from attending a venue but I think most venues have a suitable access and good viewing for the less able bodied and I hope that one day you will be able to see them 'live'. If this is not possible the DVD's are a great way to experience the gigs.

There are so many things I give for granted, even as a parent. I'm sorry for your daughter.

You can find complete track downloads of both All Down The Line & Debris @ iTunes. You can also find Death of The Cool there too but as I haven't heard it & as it isn't listed when you do a search under Ronnie Lane I can't confirm or deny that it is the right track.

    Cheers all
