Wouldn’t it be cool 8) if there could be some sort of contest and we could send in our cover song suggestions to SR.Com. Mick would pick out his favorites and have the winners come to the studio while he records it! :D That would be fantastic but I don’t think that would ever happen. Oh well maybe he’ll decided to do a few covers on the new CD and hopefully his choices will be someone’s favorite!
My choices would be....
What You Won't Do For Love....by Bobby Caldwell. This is such a Great song! Oh how I wish Mick would sing this one!!! It’s one of my favorites!!! Bobby sings it so smoothly and so beautifully and Go West did an Awesome cover of it back in the 80’s. I believe Mick’s version would the brilliant if he ever did it!!! :top
I Put A Spell On You....by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. This is such a classic song sung by Brian Ferry who sung it so splendidly, Bobbie Rait, Nina Simone and even the ever so creepy Marilyn Manson. It’s another song that I know Mick would make sound so wonderful! :whistle

I would love for Mick to do 2 reggae covers - he always makes them better than the originals!! I'd love to hear him do any 2 songs by Sean Paul.

IT CAME OUT IN THE SEVENTIES I THINK AND I CAN'T REMEMBER THE ARTIST WHO SANG IT.
I FOUND IT ON A MIX AND HAVE RECORDED IT OVER AND OVER.
IT'S A GRAND SONG!!

& Summer Breeze by The Isley Brothers, features a great guitar solo that would suit the Amplified sounds very well.

My other favourite artist (Carly Simon) has recorded Blackbird by The Beatles for her new album I'd love to here Mick do a version of that ! (She also did Ev'rytime We Say Goodbye on her Film Noir project a few years back, so of course in a web chat she did to promote the project I had to ask her if she had heard Micks version. She hadn't but said that she would look it up, I wonder if she ever did. :?: )
