You maybe know the problem, you want to kick someone out of your party to invite a pair of players and you dont know who is partnerless. Bad thing, but what do you think about some little marks in front of the names.
I think on a little colored circle like in the mac-browser where you can sort different files to a color. So if 2 player which are in one and the same party are close enough together, they get both a colored circle or square in front of their names and the leader can see, "hey these 2 are together". A person which runs alone through the game gets a grey (inactive) sign, a offline player a black like before. Other version could be that just the names are colored if they are partnered.
Now u ask, what about i go to the shop to restock and my partner waits at the mob?
Just insert there a little timer, if the partners dont get together in something like 5 minutes, they get grey.
