Hi everyone! :-D I was just wondering where everyone is heading off this year with his or her travel plans? I know plenty of you are going to see Simply Red this summer, which is great. :D Have fun at the shows for all who are going. And I wish everyone a happy & healthy vacation/holiday trips this year no matter where you are going & what you are doing. :top
So tell us where you are going to this year whether its’ a full-blown vacation/holiday, weekend getaway, fun day trips or if you are spending any time at home fixing up your house, working on any hobbies or just kicking back & relaxing. I’d love to know where everyone is going and what they are doing this year for some adventure, fun, rest & relaxation. And if you have already gone somewhere, let us know how your trips went. Write down all of your good, bad, funny, scary and exciting adventures, experiences & stories. I'm looking foward to reading all the juicy details!!! :lol:

On Wednesday, I’ll be headed off to New Mexico for 10 days. I’ll be flying from Philadelphia, PA to Albuquerque, NM with my family and we have planned a big road trip out there. We are going to spend a few days in Albuquerque and Santa Fe to visit some museums, go shopping, and visit a Native American Indian Reservation. Then we are heading south to see Roswell, NM and check out the Alien Stuff. Then we are going further south to go underground & see Carlsbad Caverns. Then we are heading west to visit my Aunt & Uncle who just moved to Las Cruses, NM last year for a few days. Then our last stop will be White Sands National Monument before we go back north to Albuquerque to fly home. It’s a lot to do in a short time but it will be fun!!! The weather is nice there now. Low 80’s and sunny. I really need this vacation!!!! I’ll try to post some of my impressions while I’m away but if not, I post something when I get back! :-D

Won't have a fixed physical address from mid-June until the first week of September; having to pack suitcases for that length of time that will be admissible on a trans-Atlantic flight (3 bags, all under 70 lbs. each) should prove to be interesting. :oops: :D
So far...New Jersey for a day and change, then out to England for 3 weeks, then back to Jersey for a weekend, then back to the Midwest, prolly hanging about Wisconsin for the whole month of August (have lots of friends and family up there), then the first week of September--???
Wait--forgot the Wisconsin run in June to consult with my beautician buddy. :wink: :D
Will definitely have some interesting stories to tell when all is said and done, I think!!! (And lots of concert pics, if fate is smiling on me.)

Okay, don't forget that e-mail now :wink: As for my vacation plans, I have a yoga retreat this month, tennis camp for 6 days in July, a sports camp weekend in August & maybe Atlantic City with my mom for Labor Day weekend. Problem is, I'm running out of money!!!! :shock: And I really need to start saving for the 2007 trip to Hawaii that I'm planning to surprise my mom with

oh and a couple of days in Cardiff at the end of June and a weekend at Sarahs house seeing concerts in Bath and Sussex !!! And thats all !! I am supposed to be re-decorating my entire house not spending money on weekends away and breaks in Portugal !!! I have never been one to say No !!

I'M HEADING FOR SEATTLE ON THE 20TH FOR FOUR DAYS.
ONE OF MY BESTEST BUDS LIVES THERE AND WE'RE GOING TO START SHOPPING JUST AS SOON AS I GET OFF THE PLANE. GOOD FOOD AND DANCING,( YES, I SAID DANCING AT HER LOCAL BLUES BAR.)

Seriously tho... Heading off to Aurora this summer. No matter the weather, i am garanteed of 3,5 weeks of sunshine. Can't wait to see Chile itself too, always wanted to go to South America and with the perfect guide i am sure i will see the best of Chile ;)

Me and the Hub are planning on visiting France this September. He is a bit into WW2 history, so we are planning on touring the beaches of Normandy. Few days in Paris, too..... Hmmmm... maybe I'll "bump" into Mick before he heads off to Portugal.... :D

gee, several of my friends are also going to Portugal, it is being heavily advertized here for vacation spots. Have fun !
we'll be off to Alaska for a couple of weeks, then later on try to get to Austria, Switzerland....in the fall....hopefully catch a concert.

2 more days before I leave for my yoga retreat - can't wait!!! I really need to get away & do some relaxing yoga & meditation. I just hope the weather up there is nice so my friend & I can explore the lovely grounds we'll be on.

I am jealous of all you world travelers. We have yet to go abroad but in the mean time will see some of the beautiful parts of the States.
In June we are taking the girls out west~ to the Dakota's, Wyoming, Colorado etc. We will see the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, and other places along the way. I was there as a kid and it is beautiful and I can still picture it vividly. My husband and girls have never been so it will be fun to see what they think.
In July we head to Cape Cod for 10 days and will do the usual beach lounging, whale watches, trip to Martha's Vineyard on the ferry. May head down to Newpot Rhode Island to see the mansions from the Vanderbilt era. Very Great Gatsby-esque. I love the north east in the summer.
Thats about it but it should be fun~ despite the fact that it is many hours in the car to and from!

ON SATURDAY, I'M HEADING OUT FOR SEATTLE AND WILL BE GONE FOR FOUR DAYS.
IT'S SORT OF EXCITING, AS I HAVEN'T BEEN THIER SINCE I WAS A CHILD.
MY GIRLFRIEND IS PICKING ME UP AND IT'S OFF TO THE COFFEE BAR AND THEN MEGA SHOPPING.
I REALLY NEED THIS TRIP AS I'VE BEEN STRESSED FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS. IT WILL DO ME GOOD TO GET AWAY AND SEE ANOTHER ENVIORMENT.

Welcome back, Martha!! Yes, I love yoga, too. Wish I could afford to do it each & every day! Ballet is wonderful - I did it for 5 years when I was very young. It'll go hand-in-hand nicely with yoga :top

Well, Rizzo, that depends on your job. I'm lucky enough to love my job, so work brings me joy. I've always said this (and I always will), but I wish you'd transfer to another pharmacy - you might like it a lot better & not have as much stress. Job stress can be a killer :flop

LOL, no Rizzie!! Tennis camp was in Upstate, NY. I'm not going to Hollywood until July 21st. Had a lot of fun playing tennis - but my arm is sunburnt :P

Well next weekend I'm taking a trip with my friends to a Scrapbooking Convention in PA! It should be fun. It's not too far away from where I live. Going to take a few classes and shop at all the vendors who come to the Convention. Going to lose a lot of cash next week with all the shopping I will do! Then Sunday is my B-day so they've got something special planned? I have no idea where they will be taking me???

Glad your computer problem has been sorted now, D! Geez, what a pain! I never heard of Modzilla Firefox - where'd you hear of that? Oh, I hope Stephen's ready for me, too. I've been busy preparing an event proposal for him because his management told me to bring it & just give it to him in person :shock: That's another reason I'm extra-nervous, not to mention the darn 6 1/2 hour plane ride...... :P

Well your mostly likely off to Hollywood today or is it tomorrow? In either case, enjoy the weekend and have fun at the breakfast and the park! You’ll do fine and I hope Stephen agrees to help you out on an event. Good Luck!! And don’t worry about the plane ride! You’ll be fine!!!
I'll send you an email this weekend to catch up and let me know how everything went next week when you can. I'm going to see Pirates of the Caribbean tomorrow and taking my Dad out to Joes Crab Shack! Cool seafood restaurant in Wilmington Delaware!
FYI I heard about Modzilla Firefox from of few of my computer geek friends. They told me Microsoft Explorer is filled with many security issues and Firefox is much more safe. So far all of my wacky problems I was having are gone! If you want to switch to it’s very easy. Let me know if you want to check it out.

My sister & I are already plotting a map to the vendors we want to check out the most. It gets extremely crowded and it’s hard to move around the convention floor after a while. It will be wall to wall mad scrapbookers!!!
OK I'll be on the look out for something special in the mail this week!!! Wonder what it will be??? Simply Red all wrapped up in a box and when I open up the box they will jump out to sing Happy Birthday to Me! Wouldn't that be lovely!

I'll be sure to leave most of my wallet at the convention but thankfully some of my friends have offered to buy my b-day gifts there so I won’t have to spend as much! Scrapbooking is an expansive hobby! You can never have enough stuff!!! LOL!!! :lol:
