    honors from killing a hero isn't enough IMO :D

    i have some ideas on how to get some honors

    -killing neutral creeps/camps
    -completing a side-quest (somewhat like that :P)
    -getting 100 creepskilled = 1 honor 200 = 2 so on
    -attaining an elapsed movement of 100000 units or so on

    honors concept is great, very unique :)

    I have a simpler suggestion: give honour for killing towers, too. I would suggest 2 per tower. This would put the emphasis in the right place (pushing and hero-killing). Getting hugely rewarded for killing lots and lots of creeps sound kinda, well, DotA-ish to me, and I would hate to see SL become just another huge farm-fest.

    Would it perhaps also be possible to give a bit of bonus honour to heroes who were in the vicinity at the time, and who can thus be assumed to have helped out in some way? For example, 1 bonus honour for being within 700 of an enemy hero who is killed, so if you are fighting someone and a creep kills him near you, you would get a total of 2 honour, and if an ally kills him, you get 1. You could decrease the honour bounty for hero kills per se accordingly to balance this, if you feel this would create a huge honour surplus.

    The idea with honor for killing towers is good. Will give 1-2 honor I think.
    Also the next version will feature a assistance system which recognizes who helped in killing a hero and gives reward for that :)

    May I suggest 2 rather than 1? Early in the game it is quite difficult to take down a tower, and by the time it becomes easy, 1 honour will not tbe that significant. Also, it just makes sense that taking down one whole cluster of towers would give more of a reward than killing one hero rather than less of a reward (particularly since towers don't give gold).

    Man, that is awesome. Good luck, I hope it works out well; if so it will be a first for custom maps, as far as I'm aware.

    ToB already has an assist system for quite some time, tegeus-Cromis. Quite a few of the skills and concepts in SL are inspired by ToB actually. Maybe you should try playing it, except for the lack of updates it is a great map.

    And, as I've noticed, you don't lose gold upon death. I think losing honor could work as some sort of punishment as well...



    And why not add something like "vengeance", to increase the honor gain? Like, after being killed by somebody, if this person hasn't killed another person, and you haven't being killed by other person (so, it means you were the last person killed by him, and you were last killed by him as well), after killing him you'd gain aditional honor points.



    I don't know what do you think about them, but they really make sense in therms of the atmosphere, and are very logical.



    I'd like a way to gain honor without having to kill heroes as well...



    Destroying tower would be nice, but... how would the honor be given? Only if you delivered the last hit? I wouldn't like it this way...

    If possible, track the damage delivered to the tower, and the person who applied most damage in the last minute would get the honor... or, distribute it in an area around the tower, giving less honor to each hero if there were many of them, I don't know.

    by the way, gaining honors by completing sidequests? making sidequests in an aos map is good! :) i can suggest sidequests if you want.

    No I won´t implement honor or gold punishement on death. Why? Because players are already enough punished by not being able to get experience and gold while dead.

    :why? - because some of heroes are really hard to kill... and so with killing tower's

    :If - increasing honor rate will be more playfull..
    :cause - the game will too fun with the players
    :why? - why because they are after for the item's.

    :Ifnot! - The game will take long... and will be boring to play further.
    :example - map is realy big it take's time to walk... to the enemy.
    - instead of creating item's the player's will now buy. potion.
    :reason - so that they can balance the time...

    :note - this game is for patience

    OMG i have a great idea. Listen to this : Honor will get only from kills and it will give like 2-3 honor from kill. All items that cost honor will cost only money. They will cost a lot of gold like 8000 for example. So how much more honor u make the item value will fall . EXAMPLE : the normal prise of the item is 6000 gold,if u make 3 honor the prise of the item will be 3000. Remember this is only an exemple.

    That change would make the concept of honour redundant, as you could just replace every instance of getting 1 honour with getting 1000 additional gold.

    Whether the figures you gave were just an example or not is irrelevant. However you play with the figures, the end result will still be that honour can be directly translated into gold terms, making honour as a separate resource a design redundancy. No offence, but I just don't see that happening.

    I think its a god idea take 1 honnor point for each of the team, destroy one tower and 2 for destroy an outpost...
    If you play Solo Game you can make your items 2 or if the game is 1x1, and noboddy die...you can make items most powerfull 2...
    or make a secret marchand wee change 1 hoonor for 500 / 1000 gold...and hi notr change honnor for gold..
    But The honnors idea its great!
