Hi Paul,
the only one number is the one I wrote: 102-31079_29; this part is complete fron one end to the other; it seems it is one of ths first one that where arrached as the plane went into the trees.

Hi,
part numner 102-31079-100 is from fuselage front frame structure (covered assembly - fuselage station 202 to 218 lower).
I think your part should be also from the frame structure...

It could also have been arrached on the first trees that the plane touched as it crashed; I found it outside of the ground, about 100m before the point where the fusalage explosed...
Another part of alu frame found with it was 102-310300 (number maybe not complete? because broken part). could this one be better identified?

102-310300 is the Frame - Fuselage Station 159 Scoop fairing lower LH (left hand).

I think I can see it on the drawing, but not as 62 but maybe as 57-57 or 54-55?
Have a look on the downloaded photographs I just made.
it's possible the number I red was not complete, teh part is broken and I only can reed 102-310300, but maybe it's more numebrs after that?
I cannot se where this part takes place; in fuselage? under the motor or cockpit?
Do you think as possible that this part would have been arrached as the plane touched the trees, and before touching the ground and then exploding?

This fuselage scoop fairing part was located under the belly of the Mustang, the scoop (intake)...It could have been blown away from the point of impact.

Hi Paul,
Flyingkag is...Mathias, in Strasbourg.
I just saw that the number 102-310300 is not stamped on the big one part on the photo, but on the little alu part that is riveted on it (I had cleened the part number as you can see at fotography).
So I think the long one is (maybe) an horizontal part on the drawing you attached. This part was badly hit and turned 180° as it touched -I think- a tree.
