Hi,
I have a problem deleting an user account which is not needed anymore: despite the fact that I have handed all objects from that account over to the administrator (by changing the ownership setting), the user administration interface does not allow to delete this account. I am sure that there are no more objects from that user, since searching for "objects submitted by..." does not yield any objects. This applies for all object types (DNA, Oligo, etc).
Any idea?

Hi,
as a workaround, you could simply rename that user account, if you want to give it to a new user, and set a new password. The internal user ID will then remain the same, but it shouldn't really matter since there are no objects associated with the old account anymore. Even if there were any, they would probably be carried over to the new username.
This trick has worked for me.
