WWE's production work on WrestleMania and "Tribute to the Troops" has earned the company two prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Awards.

WWE is pleased to announce that WrestleMania and Tribute to the Troops have each won a prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award. (Watch the video)
The CINE Golden Eagle Awards, distinguishing excellence in professional, independent and student works, are recognized internationally as symbols of the highest production standards in filmmaking and videography. Since its founding in 1957, CINE has been dedicated to discovering, rewarding, educating and supporting established and emerging talents in film and video. Illustrious media legends who have also received the CINE Golden Eagle include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Ron Howard, as well as great documentarians such as Ken Burns, Charles Guggenheim, Stanley Nelson, Albert Maysles and Frederick Wiseman.
In this year's spring competition, more than 300 judges viewed and evaluated hundreds of distinguished entries. Experienced professionals in the field of film and video production, as well as subject matter experts, serve in a volunteer capcity. They judge the entries using standards of overall excellence, evaluating such criteria as storytelling, production value, artistry, the extent to which the film meets its stated goals and how well it communicates with its intended audience.
The global phenomenon that is WrestleMania and WWE’s most important broadcast of the year, Tribute to the Troops, were both honored for excellence in television production.
CINE conducts two competitions each year, and the current one began in February 2008. In addition to the Golden Eagle Awards, CINE has established two levels of competitive awards. The Special Jury Award recognized the best films in the 27 CINE Golden Eagle categories. The CINE Masters Series Awards (for the Professional and Independent Division winner), and the CINE Award of Excellence (for the Student Division winner) recognize the best of the best in the CINE competitions.

Jährlich werden in den USA die sogenannten CableFox Program Awards verliehen. CableFox hat hierbei aus teilweise unerklärlichen Gründen einige WWE-Mitarbeiter nominiert:
- Vince McMahon ist für 2008er Hall of Fame Klasse nominiert
- Shawn Michaels für den besten männlichen Künstler
- Monday Night RAW ist in der Kategorie für die beste Sendung im Bereich “Sonstiges” nominiert
- Vince McMahon's vorgetäuschter Tod durch eine explodierende Limousine ist für den Award des überraschendsten Endes nominiert
- Stephanie McMahon ist für den Award als beste/r Writer nominiert
- Außerdem konkurriert WWE mit der NHL (nordamerikanische Eishockeyliga) um das beste HD Technology-Programm
