i´m 15 years old, but in two days í will be 16 . :wink: in school i have french and english, but in the (oberstufe) i would have too many ( fächer...mir fällt das wort net ein... :lol: ) with english, because i want to have history, (pädagogik) and so on...

I don't know which subject (English or French) I like more... In my canton (?) is French obligatory since the 5th class. So i can speak much better French than English. But I think than English is easier than French. So, I like both languages.
Oh, may be English a little bit more, cause there we've got an easy teacher. Our French teacher is very serious.

I like english a lot more better than french. I'm really bad at french, but I'm getting better at it. English is also way much easier.
I learn french for 4 years, and english for 6, and you guys?
I took french here in America, but I have a horrible teacher. She has an extremly american accent, and bit of spanish too, 'cause she also teaches this subject . I can't listen to her. It's cruesome (Is this real word???)

i often forget words, too. in the last english lesson i don't know how you have to write "donnerstag" in english. (peinlich. :wink: )
but more often i've problems with the prepositions. "of, with, from, to..." all the same shit...

At the moment, I've alone Englich Lesson!!! Because of the verbal examination. And only I do this examination. So I've got alone lesson. That's really weird! Because you've got the whole attention of the teacher. And our is American Native. He recognizes all mistakes :roll:

no, i don't hate it. okay... i had only written one (arbeit) allone because i was ill when the others had written it.
and i sat allone in the (lehrerbibliotek). a interesting room... :wink: was allone and could do my work without whispers in the back and teachers in the front.
i whispered the phrases from my short story and nobody was (ärgerlich) about that and nobody could said "don't disturb..."

I`m sorry for "correcting" you, but arbeit=test, ärgerlich=angry. if you don`t wqant, that I correct you, please tell it, because it is (leider) my charcter to do this, because i like it when somebody tells me the vocabulary I don`t know or when he corrects my labnguages or my (satzbau).
You are right! It must be good to write a test and beeing alone in the room, because, when you write it with your class it is never really quiet and yoou can`t think loudly.
Please correct me, if my languages is wrong!!!!!!!

Nobady has a 2! =( Because they don't learn... And later, they cry, if they've got a 4 or 5!

the (letzte mal) he had to declare a thing for three times until we check it xD it was funny, but the teacher was angry
(i have written more than i normally speak english at a day (and my grammatic is almost always (???) wrong >.<)

nooo... or.... i saw a serie which was only at english, so i had to see in english, but it wasn't very hard to understand (and it was with subtitle xD) But some chapters wasn't with subtitle so i had to translate it by myself :roll:

That is weird, a friend of mine (who lived in china and spoke american english in school) told me that my english sounds exactly like oxford english. but I was just there for two weeks and that is al long time ago... and I watch series in australian english and most of the movies are american english. so I really wonder how my english can sound british... I mean, I like it :D I think british english is very beautiful :D

Ganz kurz... Ich hatte vor zwei Jahren mal eine Englischlehrerin, die war Amerikanerin und hat mal dort gelebt... Einmal sagt sie so zu mir: Neben dem Amerikanischen Englisch ist das Britische Englisch ein Furz...
Ich hab mir so einen abgelacht... Das die des als Lehrerin so sagt...
Ich liebe beides... American and british englisch...!
Denn wenn ich mal das amerikanische Wort nicht weiss, nehm ich einfach das britische! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Now I have to learn a lot, too. I've already written a test in Powi (Politik/Wirtschaft) today, on my first day at school after holidays, and next week also two tests, that's so annoying, after over 12 years at school I'm very unmotivated und lazy, that's so terrible. But this year is the most important year at school, in a few months I will have my final secondary-school examinations (Abitur) and the time before is so stressful! :(

no, now i work in another primary school, there, where my little brother were as a child^^ it's very funny, today was my first day there. the children there are sooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeet^^ one of them, a girl, drew me 5 pictures, but i fergot the last two there in the group room...
they are very nice to me, when i arrived there, they gave me a cup of tea and then i sat there with another kindergarten teacher and wie talked xD

I think the most of you know, that I visited Carmen so we stayed in the house of her hostfamily. At the beginning I thought it will be a great experience to meet them and it was fantastic. I have to say it was really, really hard to go back. I cried all the time. On the one hand I will see Carmen not until June and on the other hand there is this really lovely family. I hope to see them again...
I want to say that such a trip is much better than a normal one...

I have a strongly american accent though. However I'm starting to loose it and I get my stupid german accent back. I didn't talk to a native english person in a very long time. I really miss it, though.

My plan is to go for a year (maybe?) to go to the USA to work as a "nanny" (au pair). Although I have got "Englisch- Leistungskurs" in school I think I cannot speak Englisch very well. But anyway I hope my family there will understand me. ;-)

Well, I love to go to school. It's so great there.
I was in Leibstadt yesterday in the Atomkraftwerk and I have to say, that it was great there. (vor allem der kühlturm hat mir gefallen, es was so toll. Was aber noch besser war: Die Leute dort haben ab und zu Schweizerdeutsch gesprochen und wir durften da rätseln, was das wohl bedeuten könnte :lol: :lol: :lol: )

its the end of a story. but you iwll understand it.
there is a club and they organisated a halloweenparty. a ghost was there.. and then he went again..
now my part:
Uncle Fred´s spooky story
Then, the silence was broken, because we saw the ghost again, which said in a deep voice:
“ Hello again!”. But this time it was more scary. It looked like it would hover (=schweben) in the barn and all people in there were screaming very loud.
“I will chop your heads off! Hähhäh!” (=Ich werde eure Köpfe zerhacken) Then it snapped at a woman and flew away…
Everybody was breathing heavily (=keuchen).
We all were very frightened and shocked.
Then, I was brave and asked: “ W-what was that? Was it only … a dream?”
They looked at me and shaked their heads. “That’s not possible, because we all SAW it!”
“And what will happen with the woman?”
“I… don´t know! But maybe we will figure it out.”
Then, nobody wanted to celebrate anymore. We went home again. But in this night nobody could sleep for we were all like bedeviled.
The next morning Halloween was over and the neighborhood- club had to clean up the barn. But no one was brave enough to enter it first. Finally we went in hand in hand.
… But nothing had changed! Very strange (=seltsam).
A few minutes later everybody was talking again. The fear was not there anymore.
“Heyyy. Can anybody hear me? Come and look!”, a boy screamed.
At the loft, we saw it: The woman was sitting there but she was handcuffed (= gefesselt). And there was a peace of paper next to her. I read it while (=während) the other kids where liberating(=befreien) the woman.

What a disappointment! Just my dad. And we thought it was a real ghost…
So we went to the barn again and cleaned it. We had a lot of fun there, ´cause we laughed about our stupidness.

Ich hab sie bis jetzt 2 oder 3 mal verschoben... Aber meine Lehrerin ist super!
Ach ja, mein Referat wird über Paris+Sehenswürdigkeiten sein! ;)

We wrote a test about the book 'The Body' by Stephen King. Maybe some of you know the film (I think in German the title ist something with 'Sommer'. But I can't really remember) We will also watch the film soon.
And in German we read the book 'Der Besuch der alten Dame' by Frierich Dürrenmatt. My teacher loves Dürrenmatt :roll: we will also see this movie. The book's quite funny, but I heard, the movie is rather boring and sad. hm, we'll see :D !

I think it's not good to speak too much german in an english lesson... that's what we always did, and it helps a big lot :D
there's a female teacher in our school, miss chiwona, and she pronounces "s" when "th" would be adequate^^ who the hell let her pass her oral tests? I mean, the grammar might be perfect, but how will she ever be able to teach her students a good pronunciation?

this might surprise you: I've been having english lessons for 3 years... I'm thirteen! but the thing is that I'm very,very interested in languages, and if you really wanna learn something, it's easier, I promise, but you still have to be eager ! I watch as many movies as possible in english, and that is the best you can do, in my opinion!
the same with me in spanish and french, by the way xD
And for everybody: If you want to learn english perfectly, speak it as often as possible, in every situation!

today it was my second day :lol: and i survived both day !!!!! thats great =) ( joke^^)
but my first days at school were okay..... each lesson I have other students with me, because we have an other system at 11. and 12 classes....
I have a lot of new teachers, but theire are okay :lol:
yetserday it was funny in the lesson "economy and Right": we were 30 students in a little room.....and so 2 grils had to use the table from the teacher, because we had not enough tables :lol:

oh well.... it would be great if i were going to england or america... but now i´m in the 12th grade, so it´s not possible any more to make an (auslandsjahr) besides... last year, i was too afraid of doing such a thing... not beeing able to see my family a half or a whole year..... and.... (!!) it costs too much... but i decided to visit (sowohl) america (als auch) france for probably three months after my (abitur)..... :wink: I hope... i´ll get enough money for it...... but nowadays i guess it´s important to speak other languages as well as you speek german..... :? :wink:

well... i´ve choosen french and i´m happy with my choice... but i think, latin is not bad!!!! then you have a good foundation for other languages!!! i guess it´ll help you a lot.... and for some people french is much more difficult to learn than latin.... if you are good in german and grammar, latin won´t be be such abig problem... furthermore french is teached in french but latin is teached in german!!! You wii learn all the time the vocabularies in french, if you want to follow class and teacher..... :wink:

yes, maybe you´re right, but grammar in latin is completely different than in german or english. and you have to know every word, cause if you don´t know just one verbform you won´t be able to mediate the sentence. it´s heavy. i´m really good at school, but latin is very difficult, i don´t know anyone who says its easy...

Es gibt so eine englische Homepage, wo man mit anderen Schülerinnen aus allen Ländern chatten kann. Eben nur auf Englisch und das find ich gut. Die Seite hatte uns unsere Klassenlehrerin vorgeschlagen und manchmal gehen wir in den Computerraum und wir dürfen so chatten. Das find ich toll!

Dazu möchte ich aber mal was sagen:
Manche Menschen geben die Schule auf, weil ihnen die Freunde wichtiger sind... Beispielsweise meine Cousine war damals auf der Hauptschule und sie hat eine Realschulempfehlung bekommen, weil sie wirklich eine 1er Schülerin war. Aber sie wollte nicht mit der Begründung, ihre Freundinnen sind ja auch auf der Hauptschule und sie möchte da einfach nicht weg. Und was ist passiert? Heute haben ALLE ihre Freundinnen ihr Abitur gemacht und meine Cousine sitzt da mit ihrem Hauptschulabschluss und findet gar keine Arbeit.
Natürlich gehen Menschen vor... Beispielsweise meine Cousine ist seit einem Monat im Krankenhaus. (Sie ist 1 Jahr alt) Jedenfalls konnte ich ein paar mal die Hausaufgaben nicht machen, weil ich immer im Krankenhaus war und dann meinte meine Lehrerin: Sag mal, was ist wichtiger? Schule oder deine Cousine? Das war wirklich eine bescheuerte Frage und ich dachte so, hallo geht's noch? Natürlich geht meine Cousine vor!!!
Meine Idee dazu ist, dass uns Menschen meist nur für einen bestimmten Zeitraum im Leben begleiten und wir uns selbst aber ein Leben lang haben. Das heißt also, die Schule ist eigentlich schon wichtig. Klar sagen Noten nichts über einen Menschen aus, aber sie sind nun mal für die eigene Zukunft wichtig. Es schaut kein Arbeitgeber auf die Freundinnen und Freunde von uns sondern auf die Noten...

Oh, I'm not very good in english but yer I heard about this. My mother and my one aunt made the thest for the FCE and my other aunt had the Certificate of Proficiency in English. The CAE is not obligatory to make before the CPE. But I don't know more about this exams.

but my teacher wasn`t so friendly!!! but he was very funny! he was singing songs during the lessons!!! We were laughing very often!!!

no..not for everybody..it depends on what major subject (Schwerpunktfach) you have..
everybody has to learn three languages (german, english, french) but if you have english as a major subject as i do, you have to learn a fourth language, which means latin or italien. and because i had already some latin at secondary school i i had to go on learning latin at grammer school (Gymnasium) :)

so i have the subjects biology, geography, mathematics and information technology in english at school.that's great cause you really learn a lot in this way!
i english at school we read a book that is absolut great!!! it's about an indian boy who goes to a school with white kids.it's like his diary..
for them who want to read it. it's named: "The absolutely true life of a part-time Indian"

Our english classes could be much more interesting with another teacher. She comes into the room and you notices, that she doesn't want to do a lesson. It is horrible. My english becomes worse and worse, because she doesn't really do lessons. It is terrible. There was a time, when I was good in engllish and had fun, but now.....

Today, we got the new english books, we could choose out of two different books, and I chose "The wave". My reasons: I already know it (read the book and saw the film). Theres a Film about it. I think it's absolutely GREAT! For everyone who likes to think about the thing you're reading, it's perfect!
