look at the beginning I thought, great a new forum, but almost nobody posts.
If someone posts it's about Alex C and Potemkin, and I think only the first subject has a right of being here, the other doens't do it for me, and has nothing to do with U96
There a so many questions unanswered about U96, about CD's that exist or not, 12" cassette's, there must be more people that collected this and want to share the information.
I've asked a lot of questions and got little to none response,
I want to make a great forum of this but if nobody answers I'm going to leave this forum and sort it out myself, I Love U96, and want to know everything about it, but I need your :evil: help
Last saturday Jan and I got together and made a compleet list of all cd's 12", cassette, bootlegs and releated. please help us to complete this list.
No everyone is going to say Hauner has a list but that's by far not complete!!!!!!

Realy? And what released U96 this year? Nothing, U96 is dead in reason that the members are separate.
Alex make his own project with Yass. Hayo and Ingo makes his project.
So now we can speak just about history, or from this new projects.
And i asked to the members but he doesn't help for me.

U96 did nothing this year (this year??? we are in the 3 month) because Alex had a succes with his Alex C project.
potemkim :evil: has released nothing till now, 3 numbers on myspace with the sound of U96 of Das Boot album, nothing new.
This is still an U96 forum with a small bit of other things
I'm not waiting on information about potemkin :evil:
I want to know more about U96, that's why I joined this forum.

Techno is not commercial at this time... don't wait that commercial people make Techno...

there is nothing to discuss - u96 is certainly dead. no one needs to talk about asses and tits if u know what i mean. when potemkin bring out the album, some people will appear for sure.

there is enough to discuss, why where some songs not an album, how many releases where there, which song is released where etc
potemkin :evil: I joined this forum for U96 not for some people (okay they are releated to U96) who make music like U96 in the beginning
Trailer to the unborn, and It's allright good have been songs from U96 in the 90's not now.
I follow Alex C from the side, I have the songs but don't collect the cd's/12"

1. For me there is nothing to discuss - i`m not u96-fan for a long time, but i respect their work from 1991 till 2003 and not what alex did since 2006.
2. hayo and ingo are not related to u96 - they ARE U96 indeed and alex was in fact just the pretty face on covers and in videos and also quite good commercial mind and i can admit,that without these commercial things U96 would be not U96, but this is even not a half of success u know.
3. i really don`t care, why did u join this forum (and i wonder, who else cares:D ), u speak to often "I" and "Me" - u`re not the hub of the universe. u just see,that people are not interested in discussing of things,that alex does nowadays, they are more interested, what potemkin can offer. and despite the fact i`m not u96-fan anymore, i will listen to their album for sure, cause i really feel respect for them as musicians as opposed to alex` occupations. and by the way, 2-3 tracks on potemkin`s myspace are much better than 2 albums from alex a.k.a. ^^U96^^ and Alex C.
Sorry , no offence, just something for your consideration. :wink:

I'm just a U96 fan, who wants to know more/everything about of U96
fuck potemkin :evil: , this is a U96 forum and not a Potemin forum, so I discuss U96 things and not potemkin :evil:
I think there music is not going with the time, and is staying around 10 years ago
And that's my opinion, something for you to consider

I`m not going to disturb you anymore, go on with your monolog and your irritation :wink: , u seem to be the only one "true: U96-fan 8) the others are absolute traitors, fuck them all, cause they`re not going to share their collections for you and make lists of unknown u96-material and bootlegs :P :P :P

2. I don't think I'm the only fan, I only find it disappointing that on a U96 forum, the only thing that is being talked about is potemkin :evil:
Maybe my hope was to high, everybody is fan in a different way, I'm a fan in collecting and want to know everything there is.
I don't find the other traitors or else, It's just to bad that somethings didn't go the way I expected on this forum, I thought I found more things about U96
Reading back al of this, I guess I was a little to hard, sorry for that :(
edit 02-04-08: to hard, no to someone who is on an U96 forum and only talks about potemkin :evil: I was not to hard, maybe to soft 8)

What a shame indeed to see the negativity that spoiled the old forum resurface, and what a lack of respect for Alex' new forum which is such a great place for us U96 fans to meet.
I am, like Thierry, a die hard U96 fan and collector. We have collections you would not believe, and this is one of the main reasons I like the forum: to exchange information with other U96 fans.
I would also prefer to have more interaction with other fans on the forum, see questions replied to, have more information exchanges about releases, etc, but if tha is not happening that is the way it is. I also realise that not everybody is a collector. I have to say though that the amount of information that is being exchanges also determines the number of times I log on and post.
For me, "U96" is U96 and everything related. That is obviously also everything that Alex currently releases with Yass, which I think is great. But I have stuff that ex-U96 members did as well, how about the F.R.E.U.D. project for example? I will support U96 and Alex, always.
There is room on this forum for everything that has to do with U96: current projects, ex-members' releases such as Potemkin, etc. Just post! All interesting to hear more about and read more about!
But why the childish comments that "U96 is dead" and that Alex' current music sucks? This is a U96 forum: regardless whether or not there are new U96 releases, we are the fans, right? If you only want to write that U96 is dead, why log on to the forum? If you are not a fan anymore, why bother to log on? Music styles may changes and fans do to decide what a musician's style is develping into: you either like it or you do not. Please let's have some mature behaviour and stop the childish comments, and keep this place what it is, a great place for fans to meet to exchange information about everything to do with U96 and Alex.
