    Questions from Pam

Would you rather play live or in studio?
Absolutely live! Playing in the studio is a different world but initially I started playing because I wanted to perform.
What is your favorite song to perform live, and why?
At the moment it´s probably Jealousy and One More Time because those songs feel fresh every time.
Any plans for releasing and album in the U.S.?
Only God knows… hopefully yes, in the near future.
Any plans for touring outside of Finland in the near future?
Oh yes, at least in Europe. I cannot really name any countries at this point.
What was the main idea behind the video for Platitude?
The Shining the movie. The original idea came from The Legend production company but we refined it a little. They wanted to include actors and female models but we insisted we play on it.
Your favorite track of the album?
    One More Time.
If you could say something to musicians just starting out as a word of advice it would be?
Be patient and believe in yourself, if you´re absolutely sure you ARE good.

    Questions from the fans

LoriAnn asks, Why did you select the name Bloodpit as your band name?
Suggested by John Lennon in Paavo´s dream.

Artarita has a couple of questions

What’s your biggest achievement so far?
Our loyal fanbase. It´s incredible but on the other hand we´ve been touring for six years now… hard work.
What inspired you to pick up an instrument and play?
My family really. My father was a rock star and me and my brother always used to look up to him.
What album lately can you not stop listening to?
    Madonna´s compilation cd. It´s incredible.

    Susan would like to know

What music do you listen to?
The Doors, The Stones, Type O Negative, Mötley Crüe, Kiss, Stone Temple Pilots etc.

    Jess’ questions

What’s the biggest gig you’ve played so far, and what made it special?
Hard to say, really. I´d say Pakkahuone (22.10) and Tavastia Helldone Festival. A lot of important people there.
Who is your biggest influence from your “homeland” and also from overseas?
Hard to name only one. Jim Morrison and Benny Hill. Popeda has always been important to me.
If you could tour one country of your choosing, which one would it be and why?
United States of America. It´s a big country.
And a typical musical question: If there’s one song that you could put your name to, but which you didn’t write, which one would it be?
The Bold and the beautiful theme song.

Elin would like to know, what do you do besides making music?
We really don´t have time enough to do anything else for living.

Raquel wonders, best and worst thing of being in the music world in your opinion?

The best thing: You get to do what you have always wanted to do.

The worst thing: Sometimes it´s just not what you thought it would be.

When and how was your band created?
Bloodpit was based in 1999 by Paavo Pekkonen and myself and we played our first gig in the same year.

Were is the name of the band coming from ?
It is just a name and doesn´t actually have any profound meaning... it´s just a stupid name but there are so many stupid band names in the world so I think we fit in.

What musicians or artists did have a major influence in your life / work ?
Lots of bands like Popeda (from Finland), Metallica, Guns N´ Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Kiss, Nirvana, The Beatles etc. Today my heroes are Mick Jagger, Gene Simmons etc.

What are the positive and negative aspects of being a musician / singer (in Finland) ?
Of course it´s a great thing being a musician and having fans and one of the greatest things is playing alive and making people enjoy. Actually there are no negative things in being a musician you know.

What are stories/topics you tell/treat in your songs ?
    Simply life.

What is your favorite song in your repertoire and why ?
They´re all great. No song is better than the other.

Do you tour regularly ? Do you actually prefer performing your music live or in a studio?
Well, we´ve done now about 100 gigs and we have a tiny tour to do soon in Finland.
But we have also recorded three EPs.

During the process of making an album, what is the moment that you prefer ?
Actually I don´t like being in studio at all... it´s so goddamn steril.

What kind of music / What artists do you currently listen ?
    I really don´t know.

A stupid question but... what is among all the songs you've been listening in your life the BEST song ? Why ?
The best song?... It really is a difficult question. I like "Rocket Queen" by Guns N´ Roses.

Internet is something interesting for musicians because it gives them the opportunity to touch a larger audience but it is also a threat for them (regarding the copyrights). What is your opinion regarding this medium ?
It´s a great thing because when you have no gigs (for example) the thing goes on in the internet.

What are your actual and future projects ?
We´ll take over Finland. As the first thing we have to find a new record label because the previous one wend down. We´ll stick around untill the end. The future is uncertain and the end is always near. No we really don´t have that apocalyptic philosophy and I think you´ll hear about us in the unknown future. Peace, love and patience.
