"Look, man. If that´s not pretty, i dunno what is. Long time no see, so why don´t we just take a drink at in the tavern?"
In some distance Janice followed Arthur and his black-haired friend. She was nearly invisible between the cherry blossoms and the dark wood of the trees. It was amusing for her to see her archrival in a bad condition like this.
"Thihihi, too easy" she whispered.
In a safe distance she passed the two travellers.
Suddenly, she jumped in front of them with an evil smile.
"Thihihi, so i've finally found you, Arthur McDowell. Now .... prepare to die !!!"

Meanwhile Miranda has been running through the flowerfields towards the village, holding Kakas hand and draging the younger girl to run as fast as possible.
Arriving at the first houses she felt save and slipped into the tavern through the backdoor. She looked around hoping to see anyone to whom she could tell about this two guys they had seen and now approaching to the village.

Almost hidden in a corner of the tavern "Sleepy-Eyes" Purple sat and had a beer.
In contrast to her eyes allways looking like she'd fall asleep soon she was wide awake and noticed everything happening in the room.
She saw Miranda gliding in and noticed the girl was deeply scared.

Minouche was serving drinks to some men sitting in a room aside. She didn't notice Miranda came in.

Kaka was holding by Miranda's hand ran and ran till they arrived the house. Kaka was still very scared and felt so tired that she could not move anymore. Poor Kaka, she was so tired, thirsty and hungry, she did not have any food or water for all day long. She was still sweating and there was sweat on her forehead, she was looking at Minouche, she wanted to have something to drink, but, she was afraid to ask. At that moment, someone was walking toward her.

Eckran´s gaze locked on the ninja woman. He drew his twin swords with a smooth motion and replied angrily. "Shut up! Only one to bite the dust is you! Ya messin' with my buddy here, then ya messin' with me!"
Eckran went into combat pose. "C'mon, bitch. Show me watcha got!"

That wasn't good. Arthur was in a bad condition and just now Janice, his archfiend, had to show up. Eckran was angry. Very angry. Arthur was sure, this would end up bloody for both sides.
"Thihihi, darling, are you scared?" Janice purred. "C'mon, give me the Wonderbag and i will make it quick, thihihi !!"
Shocked Arthur grabbed his bag.
"I will never hand him over to you, Janice. You see, Eckran is with me so ... errr .... just get lost or something like that."
With a bloodcurdling scream Janice grabbed her big Shuriken-Stars.
Eckran was quick on the trigger. Befor Janice was able to throw one of her Stars, Eckran rushed toward her.
"Damit bitch, burn in hell !!"
"Thihihi, fast, but not fast enough." said Janice with an smile that could freeze hell.
"Be careful Eckran, she has 7-Miles-Boots." screamed Arthur.
"7-Miles-Boots?"
For one moment Eckran slowed down.
"Thihihi, thanks, my little darling to give me such a great opening."

Eckran gave his opponent an evil grin. "7-Miles-Boots my butt. No matter how fast you are, i can keep up with ya." Crossing the blades of his swords, he murmered something, then was engulfed in an aura of lightning. Eckran voice echoed across the plains. "LIGHTNING SPEED RUN!"

Janice was surprised. Positive. It was her first fight for nearly a week.
Her body begans to yearn for the blood of another person. Being doushed in the red liquid of life.
"Thihihi, lets dance, my dear. Boots, wake up! FLASH STEP !!!!"

Just when the two fighters began to do their first steps, only lightnings were viewable. With high-speed, Katana and Shuriken crashed into another. Quickly, Arthur hids behind a huge tree and begans to look into his little bag.
"Damn, where is it? Damn, where is it? .... Where is it, goddamn?"
Arthur insert his head into the little bag.
"Come out, putput put put, come out ..."
Suddenly, a fast cut, that would surely had crushed Arthurs head, sepperates the treetop from his root.
Slowly the tree begans to slide to Arthurs side.

Eckran fixed his opponent in an icy gaze. "You´d wish! Now feel my true strength! SPIRAL SWORD BEAM!"
In a flash of purple light two bladelike beams erupted from Eckrans swords, homing in on Janice like frenzied snakes. Eckran laughed as the beams engulfed her in an inferno of raw energy and pain. "I told ya. Never mess with me or my buddys."

Pain flows through Janice' body.
She was in ecstasy. She had never felt such delight before.
There, in front of her, stands her new prey.
"Thihihi, thanks for playing, honey, but i have to go now. This will be my present to you. Have fun with this."
While beeing engulfed in the purple light, Janice threw one shuriken-star toward Eckran.
"C'ya, darling."
Elegant, Janice took a scroll out of her belt, opened it with one smoth move ...
and was gone ...
While this, Eckran jumped over the shuriken, took it out of the air and landed near Arthur who had inserted his head into his bag.
"Arthur, take ya' head out of the bag, there is a tree sliding toward ya'."

Suddenly, Arthur pulled his head out of the bag.
He had done just one step aside when the fall crashed the bottom near him.
"Pheeew, that was close, wasn't it, Eckran?" said Arthur with a smile on the face.
"Errrrrrrrr... where is Janice?"
"Gone." said Eckran. "Here."
Just now, Arthur noticed that Eckran was holding a giant Shuriken-Star in his hand.
"For me?"
"It's just precautionary so that ya' don't have to search for your weapon in your weird bag."
"Thanks Eckran !!!"
Arthur fasted the Star on his back.
"I think, you've earned a free beer from me. Lets head to the tavern." said Arthur and grabbed his friends shoulder.

As Janice disappeared, Eckran put his swords into their scabbards. "Beer sounds good, let´s go then."
Supporting Arthur, Eckran now made his way to the tavern of Ondor. Tunring his head, he spoke to Arthur. "You know strange people, ya know that? What did that ninja chick want anyway?"
He did not wait for Arthurs answer and dragged him into the tavern. He let Arthur sit on a wooden bench, back to the wall and took a seat on his friends side. "So tell me. Who´s this ninja, what does she frikkin' want and where did you run into her?"

Arthur resigned.
"Well ... her name is Janice. She is something like my ... errr ... archrival .... or something like that. Since i left Yago and Master Honorius, i was traveling tthrough the land to find artifacts that are told in legends. My precious targets are the eight hallowed artifacts from the hero Szeles. By the way, i'm glad to hear that you keeped track my request for informations."
"No problem, buddy."
"So, Janice ... i met her in Dogra-ahn. She's a legendhunter like me. Or better said, a legendhuntress. Somebody told her that i was collecting informations about the legendary "Seven Miles Boots". After precise researches i was able to find the hidden entrance to a secret chamber in the inner sanctuary of the Dogra Cathedral. But i hadn't noticed the shadow behind me. Janice jumped out of a dark corner, backstabbed me and disappeared with the boots. What should i say .... she does the same with the "Sacred Cross of Niad", the "Invisible Cape" and the "Staff of Dreams". Further along, she took my shuriken-stars, my scrolls and the pendant from master Honorius. The only thing that remains in my ownership is the wonderbag, one of three bags that has much more storage space as it could have depending on its volume that it looks like. Ah, and because of you, one of my beloved shuriken-stars is back."
"And why did this ugly pig appeared here?"
"It could be possible that she got informations about me and the "Bracelet of flowing Life". One of her most important desires is to kill all the people who have done something negative to her. In her eyes, i'm a thief who has stolen "her" wonderbag. And i think, you're on her list too now, because you've defeated her in a battle."
"Nice."
"Yeah, i think, we'll met her just before we find the bracelet. It's typical for her to wait until someone did the work for her so that she can get the price. But enough informations for today. Lets have fun this evening. You should have damaged her enough so that there is a good chance that she won't show up until tommorow."

Eckran listened to the story Arthur told him. "So she likes to steal stuff, eh? Well, let her try again. Next time i see her, she´s in for a legendary good trashin'."
Eckran waved his hand at the waitress. "Hey, lady! Two of your finest, please!"
Turning back to Arthur, he said: "We´ll get your stuff back from her, count on it. Hey, aren´t those the girls near the cave earlier?"

Minouche walked up to the 2 new guests with cold drinks.
"Strange guys" she said to herself. "I'd better keep an eye on them". She began to clean the dishes near them and tried to listen a bit.

Miranda pressed herself close to the door looking for someone she could find shelter. These 2 men were looking dangerous and seemed to have been fighting.
She was afraid they could see her and recognize her from before. Maybe they followed her and ....she didn't dare to think further on that...

Eckran smiled at the Barmaid. "Thanks, ma'am." He slipped one of the drinks over to Arthur. "There ya go, buddy."
He then thought for a moment. " I think the girl over there is afraid of us. Seems we scared the poor thing. Maybe we should find another tavern, it´s no use when we scare the customers away."

Kaka was still hiding behind Miranda where closed to the door. She whispered to Miranda with her shaking voice, " Miranda, I am very thirsty, I want some water, but I am so scared. Those 2 guys there look so danger. What can we do Miranda? " A sudden chill of horror swept over her as she felt the eyes of the 2 guys were glared at her.

Eckran kept smiling as the barmaid asked if he´d like something else. "Some Sandwiches please, ma'am. And another drink please."
He looked over to the two shaking girls. "Are those two girls from this village? We saw them earlier near the mountain cave across the plains. Good thing they came back, there´s a strange woman lurking around those parts."

"You are looking a bit thirsty dears. Come with me to the kitchen, I got some juice and fruits for you."

Kaka was looking at Miranda and asked her softly, "Miranda, shall we follow her to the kitchen ?". Miranda nodded her agreement and followed Minouche to the kitchen. Kaka turned her head back when passing the 2 guys. "Who's the strange woman he was just talking about ?" - Kaka thought and she started to worry if that strange woman was her mother.

"Ssssssshhhhhhh, Eckran !!!! Nobody should now that neither Janice nor me are here in Ondor. We're not the only two legendhunters in this land. Please, be careful and watch your words, okay? This is like a ... a ... Top-Secret-S-Rang-Mission, you know? It's much easier to locate treasures when your in-cog-ni-to !!!"
Amused, Eckran looked into Arthurs face.
"Eckran, pleaaaase."
"Kk, but i think it would be much funnier when we would have some enemies on the way."
Self-controlled, Arthur watch into Eckrans eyes.
"And by the way, the girls .... it's better for them when we would vanish out of their life as quick as we joined it."

Sleepy had heared enough. These 2 seemed to be looking for HER treasue...HER legendary item. She took her treasurecard and the old golden compass and left the tavern without any noise.
Carefully watching around she headed towards the cave.

Eckran smiled again. "Thanks, Ma'am. The strange woman i told you about was lurking around the cave across the plains. We had a clash with her and she sure is a tough cookie. The village kids should not be playing there unattended."
After that, he turned his attention to the sandwiches, which disappeared with an astounding speed. "These are delicious!"
He waited until the barmaid went to another table, turned to Arthur and murmured. "I warned her and didn´t tell her too much. OK, here´s some yummy info on your target. The Bracelet of flowing Life is hidden somewhere in the ruins of despair. That´s some haunted place in the northern plains. The hints i got are somewhat scarce, but better than nothing. As far as i got it, it´s somewhere in hell temple."
Looking at Arthur, Eckran shrugged. "Ya still wanna go?"

"Sure !!! It sounds a little bit scary, but ... err... i don't know, i think it will be fun together, right?"
"Sure."
"So then, lets go!"
With a few big steps, Arthur reached the exit and stepped out of the taverne.
He took a deep breath of the cold fresh air. The dusk was about to begin. The sun was about to disappear behind the mountains in the north. Slowly, Arthur began to sink deeper into this harmonic evening.
Suddenly, an amused voice sounded near his right ear:
"So, where do we head next?"
"Eckran, the fresh air has aired my brain. Finally, i remembered why i was in this dark cave. This was the entrance. Maybe, i banged my head aganist a rock or something like that. But we can't waste time. C'mon, lets go."
With a smile on the face the legendhunter and his black-haired friend began to walk up the way they came down to the village just a few hours befor.
Just a few houses away a pink-haired shadow began to budge.
And a few miles away a purple-haired woman stood smiling in front of a little cave between two trees at the end of a huge flowerfield, silently watching on the map and the golden compass in her hands.

Meanwhile Sleepy-Eyes had reached the cave. She kinda screened the rock and all surroundings.
Several times she checked her card and her compass. Yes!! This MUST be the right entrance. She took a deep breath and entered.

Pretty happy about his new clothes Arthur said to his friend:
"Phew, fortuna is on our side. I'm happy we've found a shop that was opened so late in the evening. Well, Eckran, if we would meet a lady on our way, is my clothing-style .... adorable? Well, because it should combine being advantegous AND stylish."

"Are these footprints from you Eckran?" asked Arthur quietly.
"Nope."
"Nor mine. You know, as soon as i walked out of the cave i jumped into this tree ... over there."
Arthur looked into the cave.
"Hmmm, maybe the two girls? Yeah, that should it be, right?"

Eckran shook his head. "Nah, i don´t think so. Those little girls should be in bed by now. Those prints don´t look like beein' made by children ya know. There a lil' to big for that. Maybe its that what´s-her-name ninja chick that stole your stuff. Better keep our guard up an' be ready for trouble."
