Hi everyone... This is my first post!
I'm a huge fan of "Northern Star". One of the best albums ever!! I do not have Reason and Beautiful Intentions was on my list of "to-get" albums. So much for my level of Melanie C.... addiction? Anyway...
I learned about Melanie C's performance in Singapore in the newspaper only yesterday morning. This was actually my first concert (mini-gig for that matter). A few comments....
1) After a very long day, I arrived at 10:10 pm (concert scheduled for 10) and I was expecting a huge crowd queueing outside the nightclub/bar. What a surprise! When I asked the person at the door whether it was packed, she said "Er... not really". I would say there were between 60 and 70 persons there, for a capacity of 300-350 people...
2) Great that she specifically asked that no one smokes!
3) Microphone problem :S .... she dealt with professionally and with much humour
4) Great guitarists and amazing vocals!!!!
5) Even if the crowd didn't know the songs (I only knew the ones from Northern Star but sang each of them from beginning to end), they could have at least been more... demonstrative.... They were pretty soft.
6) Finally, I was just behind the last guy to get his cd autographed... Dammit!
