Ein bisschen Glück gehört manchmal auch dazu,
ich hab halt auch nur bei STS in der ersten Reihe gestanden.
Das lag daran, dass da ein ständiger Wechsel in den ersten Reihen war.
Es haben ja insgesamt 4 Bands an diesem Abend gespielt und es schien als seien einige nur wegen der Zweiten Band (Debauchery aus Ludwigsburg) dort gewesen, deswegen hab ich es ja auch geschafft in die erste zu kommen, weil ich als die Leute rausgingen aus den ersten Reihen, bin ich dann nach vorne gegangen.
Ich muss zugeben, ich war nur indirekt erste Reihe, ich hab schon ganz vorne gestanden, aber zwischen mir und der Bühne war noch eine große fest installierte Box, die mir ungefähr bis höhe Tallie reichte (da konnte man sich wunderbar abstützen zum Bangen :mrgreen: )
das war dann Quasi 2-3 Reihe, aber trotzdem, ich hatte wunderbare Sicht auf den Matti, Alexi und Jämi. Juha konnte ich fast garnicht sehen, Mikko und Pasi nur wenn die Herren in der ersten sich zum Bangen nach vorne beugten, was sie zum Glück relativ häufig gemacht haben.....
(Bis auf eine ausnahme, der sich bei STS in der zweiten Reihe mit verschränkten Armen nahezu regungslos da stand und dann alle 5 min auf die Uhr gesehen hat.)

So ich hab mich mal These Lowlands, dem Alavilla Mailla cover gewidmet.
Leider haben Swallow the Sun nie den Text, wie sie ihn interpretieren, veröffentlicht, aber ich hab zum einen den orginal finnischen Text, die englishe Übersetzung, die leider nicht wortgeträu mit der Swallow the Sun version übereinstimmt und auch die deutsche Version gefunden.

Von der US Tour gibt es ein Tourtagebuch. Ist zwar von Insomnium geschrieben, da die Jungs sich aber den Bus teilen gibt es natürlich gemeinsame Stories und jede Menge Fotos auch von StS.

Some news from the frontline. First of all we want to thank everyone for making year 2007 such an amazing year for Swallow the Sun. We played almost 100 gigs supporting the album "Hope", including 2 European tours, our first North-American tour and a mini tour in Spain and Portugal. We had an honour to play huge festivals outside Finland, such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, With Full Force and Metal Heart Festival. We also shot two videos, for "Don't Fall Asleep" and "Doomed to Walk the Earth".
"Hope" got some good positions in yearly readers' and critics' polls, including the 3rd position in Best Metal Album -series in Soundi-magazine critics' poll. We were voted also in many other music magazine's readers' polls for the best band and album of 2007, with the charts consisting mainly of mainstream artists in Finland. We won the "Mättöfemma" gategory in Femmagaala awards in Finland.
So, big thanks to all you who made it worth it by coming to see us on tour, buying the album and making it enter the national Finnish charts on position #3 and being so nice to us where ever we went.
Alright, about the dark future: We are now rehearsing new music and enter studio this spring to record the next Swallow The Sun release called "Plague of Butterflies", that will be released later this year. We will give you more news about this new opus soon and what it will be...
The plague is coming, people, the plague is coming.
