Creative assembly annouced medieval total war II
I am a bit dissappionted to the dicision, cause in medieval they never had such huge armies as in the rome total was time, end then, i think medieval was the baddest in the total war games, shogun and rtw were revolutions, medieval was just, mauh, a superb rts game nothing more, but in comparison to shogun and rtw medieval is bad :cry:
Hope they know what they are doing with this

i think it sounds awesome, mostly cuz i like the medieval age better than the time of julius cæsar, hope it will have the same capabilities that mtw had and what rtw lacks of :)

It sais its from 1080-1530, so it includes the holy way for the church to isreal, the crusades.
At 1530 they had the technology for the cannon and i think its till 1530 cause they got new technology little bit stolen from the moorish of the new ship boulding methods so the west european country's can go out to see after 1530.
But damn, am i the only one who is bit disappointed?, i mean, the medieval time never had armies in the numbers the romens had, they hadnt the dicipline, they hadnt the training, even the best soldiers of the late middle ages would not stand vs 1 legion of the old romen time, the knights were only in some parts of europe, and then, not in numbers as you see on the screenies, they were to expensive, only the noble men were knight, and how many noble men were their?, not much
And then the grafix, its just a little bit upgraded engine from the rtw game, dont look 10 times better ore so, no i had hoped for a pre rtw game, from 700-300 bc, ore a remake of shogun total war, the best of the francise i think
I really needs to see how it works out, cause when i look at it know, it will become a game based on fiction, based on most man imagination, and it need to come out this year, 2 years after rtw!, damn this cant go good, they only had 2 years, a good rts game need at least 3 ore 4, omg i got my doubts!

Duh of cource medieval had things better than in shogun, medieval was the second game, but what i want to say, shogun brought the rts genre to a higher level, medieval is just a improved shogun. RTW again brought a new revolution for the RTS genre, this time it were the grafix and the battles on such mass numbers,
I admit medievel had the best tactical options and things, i think it isbetter balanced then rtw, maybe it even was the best statetic game in the total war series, but its only a shadow of the revolution what shogun did, ore even rtw

I dont know what your bitching about prox, medieval time is the best time to make an strategy game like rtw, cuz we have so much more knowlege from this period of time than the time rtw's set on. And about the graphics, u cant get a more good looking graphic in this kind of scale in no other game its just gorgious... :D every soldier's skin is diffrent in some way, and the armor gets dirty and bloody after beeing in battle, sounds like a dream to me. And yeah i do agree that they should remake shogun total war, but a new medieval total war is much more tempting, plus dude, u can fight in america against the Aztecs and other american indians, how cool is that!

But Prox, even if they did make Shogun again that would also be a shadow as u say, as the rest of the games, there wouldnt b any difrence there if they made rtw mtw or stw over again.

stw was a good game but seems unfinished
nowhere near the amount of units and gaming scale that mtw became
u say its shadow to stw well i think stw is the mere trial for things to come before mtw
man i cant w8
though i wonder if units will same all same stats
