    INTERESTING!
NOT KNOWING TOO MUCH ABOUT ANY BIRD IT WAS INTERESTING TO READ ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR SPECIE.
HERE IN ARIZONA, WE HAVE TONS OF DIFFERENT BIRDS TOO, BUT IT'S FUN WATCHING THE ROADRUNNERS, UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL.
    THANKS FOR THE ARTICLE.

the bird i was taking about aboce was probably a jay http://www.thunderart.com/prints/mr_jaybird.jpg
http://www.rspb.org.uk/birds/guide/j/jay/index.asp but not a blue one. rather of a grey colourinf. with a bright crest and an equally bright striped ornament over the border of its wings, having red, white and even methinks yellow in it. and a longish beak. if not a jay - someone very much like it anyway it was lol

do you happen to scrutinise snowflakes when they fall on your sleeves outdoors? i usd to meet many types but they were all with sharp edges, it being the specific of crystals forming or something. but have just seen the one looking exactly like this flwoer :flower only crystal in colour, with round edges of its 6 petals. which was also amazing.

    FOR MARSHA
    THANKS FOR YOUR INTERESTING REPLY.
I MUST ADMIT I USE TO WATCH BIRDS QUITE A BIT, EVEN FED THEM,
BUT NOT MUCH IN THE PAST YEARS. I MOSTLY STAY INSIDE AND ONLY GO OUT TO WATER MY TREES, HOSE DOWN MY PORCH AREA AND TAKE MY WASH OUT TO THE DRYER THAT I SHARE WITH MY NEIGHBOR.
WHEN I LEAVE FOR A DESTINATION SUCH AS WORK, STORE, LIBRARY
OR TO MEET FRIENDS I GO OUTSIDE, BUT HAVEN'T NOTICED THE BIRDS TOO MUCH.
I MUST TELL YOU THAT I DO HAVE A HUMMINGBIRD THAT LIVES IN THE LEMON TREE RIGHT OUTSIDE MY OFFICE WINDOW. AS I WRITE, HE'S USUALLY FLITTING ABOUT IN THE TREE OR COMES TO TAKE A DRINK IN THE FEEDER I'VE PUT OUT FOR HIM. MY CAT BOGART AND I WATCH HIM DAILY AND HE'S QUITE A FESTY CREATURE.
IT IS A FACT THAT I WEAR GLASSES INSIDE AND OUT AND WILL PAY MORE ATTENTION TO OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS.
I'VE ALWAYS HAD A FONDNESS FOR WINGED THINGS, BIRDS, BATS AND MY FAVORITE ANGELS.

    MASHA,
IT'S BEEN AWHILE SINCE I'VE BEEN IN THIS SUBJECT, I'VE BEEN SO BUSY WITH OTHER THINGS. BUT TODAY, I HAD THE TIME TO COME IN AND COMMENT.
HOW'S YOUR BIRD WATCHING GOING? SINCE YOU WROTE ABOUT THE BIRDS, I'VE BEEN PAYING MORE ATTENTION.
WHAT OTHER THINGS DO YOU FAVOR BESIDES BIRDS?

    Hello, Martha,
Thank you for your interest. The birds are still here and won`t go i believe before its finally spring and no snow. i arranged a sort of an feeding-tray outside a window of my flat hoping to have a chance to catch a closer glimpse of them if i have luck but it`s unfortunately grey town pigeons who been alighting by it so far. what could i have against them feeding at my expense other than they , unlike the other, prettier ones are not as pretty and much more common for me to want to see them from that close lol so i didn`t mind. but i`ll stop replenishing the 'tray' soon nonetheless i think: pigeons are too big and noisy for my liking when they pick up the grains... lol and besides, to think they don`t let the less cheeky smaller species i love more to get nearer and have their share...
