    Irony
Why are people the worst at what they do for a living?

Mechanics who drive cars that are constantly in need of repair.

Doctors who are overweight and smoke.

Housekeepers who keep a disorganized sty at home. (Guilty here. :D )

Postal workers who can't manage to mail a package 2 MONTHS after it was promised. ( at Tijn)

Share your stories of irony, or whatever random pockets of bizarreness that come to mind. :-D

People who say "they love you".............................

No, this has not come from a failed romance. Although I have experienced it in some distant past.

But it is ironic as some don't mean it or have not fully experienced it to realise what they are saying and what they should be saying.

The word is used too much these days and is losing its true meaning.

Then there are the occasions where it isn't said enough or at all. Case in point, some Parents.

Not true and you know it. I know what you get done in a week. Someone who can take the bike trips you do is not lazy. You're just...distracted. :D

Just giving you the promised hard time, 'cuz you're my friend, and I can. I at least spared you what I COULD have said...:devil

Besides, I haven't had any packages come in to induce an ear-splitting squeal lately. The front desk lady is overdue for her hearing abuse. :clown And my Peacock Blues strings won't quite cut it. You know what will. 8)

    MY INPUT ON THIS......
THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS LAZINESS, IT'S JUST BOREDOM THAT EFFECTS THESE BEINGS.
ONE WHO DOES THINGS FOR PAY, DO NOT WANT TO DO IT FOR NOTHING. IT'S THE MONEY THAT GIVES THEM THE INSENTIVE. IT'S TOO MUCH OF AN EFFORT AND THEY'RE USUALLY BORED.
MY FORMER HUSBAND WAS A PLUMBER AND A GOOD ONE TO BOOT.
BUT NEVER WOULD FIX UP OUR OWN BATHROOM. EARLY ON, WHEN WE MOVED INTO THE HOUSE , THE WALLS IN THE BATHROOM WERE CRUMBLING, A NEW BATHTUB AND TOILET WAS NEEDED. BUT HE JUST LET IT GO. MY BEST FRIEND AND I TOOK BIG PICKS AND TORE THE
WALLS DOWN SO THE PIPES WERE SHOWING. MY HUSBAND HAD A FIT WHEN HE CAME HOME TO SEE THE MESS, BUT PROMISED TO GET EVERYTHING IN ORDER. BUT HE NEVER DID. IT WAS ONE OF THE REASONS I LEFT HIM. FINIALLY AFTER TWENTY YEARS, HE GOT EVERYTHING FIXED UP AND THAT WAS TO GET IT IN ORDER TO SELL THE HOUSE.
I HAVE TO ADMIT I HAVE A HARD TIME DOING THINGS THAT BORE ME,
BUT FORTUNATLY ,DO BITE THE BULLET AND GET IN THERE AND DO IT IF I HAVE TO.
