Well I'm only going to one concert, but taking my husband, so I've paid for
two tickets in total cost me £93.95. Then say add on £10.00 for diesel.

Well, im going to Harewood House and then today ive just booked Stoke with Millenium Concert travel. Coach there and Back. 18th Row In The centre block.
So in total £125 smackers. Worth every penny if you ask me.
So do you think 18th row in the centre block is good, good view etc?

Been passing up this topic, but I guess it's time to fess up...
A lot.
A whole lot.
This summer's flight ALONE will run me over $1,000.
Concert tix, already billed: $175.
Hoping to stay over there for two weeks. So whatever that entails in accommodations and eats...plus of course shopping...
Oh, and did I mention I haven't paid off NOVEMBER'S trip yet?????? :oops:
But yes, they're THAT good. Worth every penny. :wink: :top :D

Seriously, though...*thinks* If I can do what a friend and I did in 2000 while over there...we rented a room in a flat at 75 quid a week...total for accommodation, tickets, and travel over would be around 750...then I'm trying to remember what I spent on food and shopping then...I think I kept it to about 300...so around 1000 pounds or so. Wait, forgot my rail passes, crap--oh, for argument's sake let's call it 1500, to make sure I didn't forget anything else but cover it if I did.
Now I'm flipping that back over to dollars in my head.
OUCH. :devil
And note: I'm not rich. Faaaaaaaaar from it (I'm a graduate student on partial grant and an $830 a month stipend). I'm just insane. :wink:

But of course. I haven't been following this band for close to 20 years for nothing.
And when you're a fan on this side of the water, this is what you have to do sometimes. For they don't always come here. :-(
That said, if they do manage to make it over here this year or next anyway? You KNOW I'm going...thankfully here it's mainly travel expenses alone, I have friends in every major market, and I live in one myself, so we can put each other up for shows... :wink:
