Hi Em , Well I'm going to Harewood House. How about you?

    Re: UK Tour

    samkit - 01.02.2006, 16:24

    Hi

In harewood house is it if you get there first you get to the front? Is That how it works?

    Regards

    Sam

:-} <----------demented grin from lack of sleep

    *giggles insanely*

You're quite welcome, from your mod who should be institutionalized...

Harewood House and Leeds Castle. (Yes, I'm well aware they're across the country from one another. Have already been to the Castle and have a friend near Harewood.)

You UK people are quick on the trigger...I did 2-second refreshes and you STILL beat me to front row at the Castle...but I did manage second row just left of dead center, if I read that goofy seating chart right... :D

Still don't know how I'm going to pay for this...have to ditch two classes out of a five-week session to do it...

    ...but I'm going.

I love this band. :D :rock

Oh, P.S.--Ticketmaster is TEH EVIL. They'd lost my details...I registered with them before last year's shows, but "they had no record of that sign-in on their system". Gave me a right panic!!! :motz

Yep, as far as I know--general admission. Lots of patience and good track shoes. :D

Sam, I have no idea how it works to be honest.
I won't know my seat numbers until they send me the tickets.
They should arrive 10 days before the concert. So I'll just have to wait and
hope that my seats are good ones.

    Re: UK Tour

    emily - 01.02.2006, 17:03

Looking at the booking page for Harewood House, it seems that the tickets on sale are General Admission, this basically means queue early so you have a good chance of getting to the front. This is the same for Petworth House in West Sussex.

What a surprise Carol !! Your seat numbers are 10 and 11 and mine are 7 and 8 so you will avoid my height ....just !!

    UK Tour
    Hi all,
Hope you were able to book tickets OK yesterday. I don't think there was the usual scramble for bookings as the announcement seemed a little 'low key' to me. I logged on at 9am without problems and got seats for Warwick - a little too close to the speakers for comfort - but took what was offered in the hope of getting something more suitable today. I've tried the link this morning and there is a technical problem at Ticketmaster end (nothing new there then) which should be fixed as soon as possible.

    Hi there,
I'd love to go to England but once again I won't be able to make it I think.
Hopefully there will be more dates announced for later in the year so I will be able to go because that's still nr. 1 on my wishlist.
Good to see you all inhere girls, it's a bit like "old" times now.

    Hi Su
My understanding is that there will be no seats, not sure if it will be similar to the Proms concert or other picnic concerts I have been to where people set up their picnics on the grass and then move forward for the show. If it is not like that I guess it will one mad dash for the front when the gates open. I did not get tickets for Harewood as thats a bit far for me but I did get Cardiff, Bath and Petworth House.

    Hi everyone,

was at Cardiff castle too early (last June)....!!
told Mark about it, and looks like the upcoming
dates may work...did you say no seating ???

that's a tough one because being short, and
not sitting up on Em's shoulders puts me at
the waist height of most, and elboes in the
    eye from everyone....

can anyone confirm "no seats" at Cardiff ?

The castle is awesome.....and they were in
the process of continued renovations when
    we were there.

    Love,
Lin xx so nice to see everyone gathering here.

    Re: UK Tour

    emily - 04.02.2006, 10:05

Lin, it IS seated at Cardiff, the only seating plan that it showed me when I was booking for this venue was one for Cliff Richard !! I am assuming it is the same if not similar. Keep us updated on what you decide.

    Love Em xx

    UK Tour
    Hi,
Just for info. I have solved the ticket problem I mentioned a few days ago. I booked another two seats and have found a buyer for the original two. The 'Summer Nights' concerts are a mixture of standing, picnic and seated, this info can be checked on the Ticketmaster booking office page. Warwick is a seated venue.

    cardiff info
    Hi there

Just to let you know, that coopers field is not in cardiff castle!! It is a public field, but you can see the outside of the castle (if this makes any sense)

So, when you go to the gig, do not head for the main gates in the city centre, the field is around the side opposite the hilton hotel

I only say this because if you want to see the inside of the castle you would miss out as the gig is not in the castle itself You would have to make plans to see it. It is gorgeous and has a room with jewel encrusted walls, no point in taking a knife to jimmy them out though. Big hairy scary man protects them.

I'm not going to this one, I'm moving to tenerife in April and did think of flying back to see my family and fit the gig in but had credit processing hell and the seat i got allocated in the end wasn't worth the journey, :(

    Re: UK Tour

    Jo Joe - 09.02.2006, 16:06

Tourist fodder: The castle grounds in the centre of cardiff are actually bigger than central park in new york. so gigs are usually in the grounds...like coopers field . the castle itself is walled with a moatola. Oh and emily, there is a fabby gorgeous pub called the mochyn du in the grounds and the food is yumsome..they even do laver bread and cawl, washed down with welsh wine...yipeee

    Re: UK Tour

    emily - 10.02.2006, 10:10

Wow, a pub called The Black Pig - sounds interesting !! Off to Tenerife then....I cannot keep up with you, is this also work related? No doubt we will find the appropriate field to congregate in for the concert, if not Charlotte Church better watch out otherwise I am coming looking for her man.

    Love Em xx

    Hi ya,
good luck on your new job, I know how you like the cooler weather, so I hope you don't melt over there.....I didn't know where Coopers field was and wondered it it was the new statium, we walked all over town while in Cardiff and saw it down the street opposite the castle, and off to on one of the right hand side streets.

While we were there Mark wanted a golf shirt from the Hard Rock Cafe but it was too early, but the front door was open so we went inside an nobody was there (but I took pictures anyway..) wonder if anybody got in trouble for not locking their front door...
    Stay in touch,
    Love,
