Just getting everyone's opinions on what they thought of the Simplified/Cuba photo shoot, and what they're expecting or would like to see for Amplified. The picture that they're putting up with the tour dates makes me think we're in for something with vibrant color. Which I welcome with open arms...the black/white for Cuba was too drab, the band members hard to see...and I'll just leave out my comments on the band photo in the Simplified liner notes altogether, the rant would burn some ears. :D

I kinda like the pictures of the Simplified and especially the Cuba photo shoot but I can't deny that I was a bit disappointed about the art design/booklet for Simplified. Would have loved to tell Mick my thoughts but you all know what happened to the forum when I finally had some time to spend there again :motz
No doubt the album cover pic looks pretty cool BUT all in all it's just too dark to sell a record. And to make it worse the booklet itself doesn't show many pics or interesting information. Yes, that's the only part of Simplified that got 100% simplified. :?
Honestly, in times when people tend to download music illegally they have to make the package worth looking for. I remember I spend hours skimming through the booklets of "Blue" and "Life" while listening to the record. A good artwork makes a great album unbeatable!
Anyway, we as fans would buy an album at any rate. :wink:
Therefor the art design for Cuba! is really nice! 8) Brown is a bit warmer than black. Oh, and I like the photo show on the DVD :top

Michi~ I too love looking that books for BLue, Life and the It's Only Love complation CD. Very nice pics and incteresting info as well. I too am hoping for color with Amplified.

It's part of the SR website now also.
I liked the Cuba photos especially the one looking over the
balcony holding the hat, (not the one's standing up against
the wall in the carribean print shirt.) The 1950's Look in
smokey soft lighting works well, sets the tone and atmosphere.
The CUBA DVD photo gallery is very nice too, so glad they included everyone too.

I AGREE WITH YOU LIN ABOUT THE SMOKY, 50'S LOOK OF THE CURRENT
CD COVER. IT'S OUTSTANDING!
I THINK MICK MIGHT HAVE A BIT OF NOSTAIGIC IN HIS BEING.
