If anyone wants to post a pic of themselves (so we can put face to name), and you're having trouble, LET A MOD KNOW!! If you don't want to admit such in the forum, find a post by one of us and look at the bottom of the post. You will see a little box that has two people on it that says "PM". That's the private message function--it's just like an e-mail but through this site. Click it and yell "HELP"!!! :D
You can use that function if you want to yell at me for not posting a pic of me, too. :lol:

OK, since a few people have asked, here's some general instructions. I can help individually if this STILL doesn't work; though if your computer settings are totally out there, I will only be able to help so much...
OK. For those of you who already have posts up in here, YOU need to click on your post, and when it comes up, go in the upper right hand corner to the button that says "Edit". Click that; it will open up your message as you first typed it on the white screen.
For those about to post, go to the main page of this subforum and click 'New Topic' to make your post.
Everybody on the same page? Good.
Scroll down past the white dialog box (where you type your post). See where it says "Image Hosting by ImageShack-ToS"? Okay. This is where you want to upload your picture to the site that does our hosting. Click "Browse", and a menu will come up wanting to know where on your computer you want to get your picture from. Find the folder on your desktop or elsewhere on your computer that you want your picture from, and find the picture you want. Double-click it, and the path to it SHOULD go directly into the white bar next to "Browse" Then click "Host It!"
Wait a minute or so...
If your file is not too large, you should then get a page that shows your picture and a ton of different links to copy/paste in a separate window. If your picture is large, use the "Thumbnail for Forums (1)" link--click at the very front end of it and drag your mouse across--the code continues past the bar. Drag until it won't go any more. With the cursor still over the highlighted code, right-click, and a menu should come up with several options. Click "Copy". Come back to this window, click on the white box whereever you'd like your picture to go, right-click again and this time select "Paste". That whole mess of code should transfer over. Once you're happy with the text in your post, hit "Submit"...the photo should then be added.
If your pic is fairly small, you can do the same as above, but instead of going for the "Thumbnail for Forums (1)", you can use the "Direct Link to Photo" further down on the page. If you use that, after you copy/paste it over here, add [img] to the front end of it and [/img] to the back end of it. That should pull the picture up.
Let me know if there's any further issues....

Good. Glad to know my instructions didn't suck. :lol: I know how to navigate stuff on a computer most of the time but don't always know how to explain it to someone else.
That pic was small enough, you probably could have put a direct link. Ah well, we can see you now!! Properly RED and all!! :D

Thanks Michi and Shannon~ I too hate my pictures but hey, if we all feel that way about our own photos then why not share the misery :) I want to find a picture of me in my last marathon. The one of just me is old, last year~ the one of me with the girls is this Christmas.
