Thought I would put this old favourite back on!
I am going to see The Darkness in February and Eric Clapton in May
Going to see the stage version of Saurday Night Fever this week, with my sister, my Mum and her friend. I saw my Mums' friend this morning - she thought we were all going to see Saturday Night and Sunday morning, which is a classic play by Alan Sillitoe, had to disapoint her by telling her she was going to see a look-likey John Travolta to strut her stuff!
Confused - she would have been?

I don't have any plans yet besides going on SR-Open Air tour for maybe 3 days. But who knows what else will happen. This year has just begun :D

Had been planning to go see Simply Red
at the Niagara Falls Casino in Canada since
tickets were showing on sale on Ticketmaster...
But the Casino said they were on the calendar
for January 23 and 24, but no contracts were
finalized.....after calling almost every day in
late October and November and December,
and seeing SR Website with no announcements,
we knew the concert was never going to happen.
Wonder how Ticketmaster got the news to sell
tickets when the concert was not even "real"...
Very sad about this, my sister and I were planning
on staying there for the weekend and going to
both concerts.
Maybe in the Fall of 2006 ? Now I wish we came
over there to Royal Albert Hall.

And stupid me thought that about 60 € to 65 € is a lot of ca$h for a concert ticket. That were the official prizes for the last Simply Red tour in Germany.

Well I payed € 59,50 a ticket + plus shiping costs + administration costs but the most expensive ones we're € 84,50 plus .... plus .....
So not very cheap, you better go see Simply Red! lol
On the other hand the Stones concert is even worse, € 114,00 for a standing ticket!!!

I do think that's expensive Michi, overhere in Holland the tickets we're
€ 42,50 or so!
For the same show, so maybe the German venues are more expensive?

Yes, it may depend on the venues. The KölnArena seems to be verrrry expensive! :motz I already paid 90 DM which is about 45 € for a Simply Red concert in Köln in january 2000 :shock: However the open air concerts this year are a lil "cheaper" than last year's concerts (from about 45 € - 55 €, you'll have to add shipping of course)

Anyway, I thought we'd like to talk about the joy and fun we have going to concerts :wink: And now it's all about the dough :nee *shaking-head*

to have them is ok but is bad there r restrictions as to the size of a picture which can be used as an avatar. i have a couple of those which i would use but they r too big and whem lessened lose alltheir charms. do you know by the way Yalanda why you are A NEw Flame and me - Picture Book????? while others simply newbies or administrators? whats the systam??

Not really a concert , but it felt like one -
Last night I went to see the stage version of 'Saturday Night Fever'
The music and the energy of all the dancers was quite spectacular - there was not one spare ounce of fat (or kilogram!) up on that stage.
Anyway - go put the white suit away now till my next dancing night out! - ooops thats tonight

OK, a bit OT here, but I'd like to give a quick answer.
Sorry, you can't use bigger avatars but that wasn't my idea. This is a free message-board which is only financed by some (hopefully low key) advertises. Therefore the upload capacities are limited - that's why we can only use the given avatars or our own avatars up to a certain size.
Oh, and you like to know why Yolanda is A New Flame and you are Picture Book? That's my lil secret :P :D ... I'm just waiting for the first Amplified girl (or boy?) here :devil ... but to be honest I hope we will get our official playground back just before this happens :roll:

So far have only booked one gig for 2006 and that one is the Darkness at the NEC Birmingham in February.
Hopefully will get to some others once dates are announced (especially Amplified tour).
Planning to go to Amsterdam again this year - maybe can work it when SR are there - Dates anyone?

Hi Mick,
Simply Red will play at an open air festival in the Southern Part of Holland on July 9th!
That's it for now I am afraid although we are hoping to see them play in Amsterdam as well!
So keep your fingers crossed......who knows.
