Keri got hers around Melina's age and she didn't like them but soon she'll be able to try contacts. Keri has been wearing them for about 3 years now. Too they have some really cool colors in glasses out there. Keri has a pair that are her. Took her a while to pick them out.

Oh, I don't think glasses are bad. They are a sign of intelligence and a lot of people look really good with and without glasses. :wink: I remember when my friend got her glasses I wanted some, too, although I didn't need them. We even went to the doctor to check my eyes, because I kept on telling "I can't see", but of course it was all a lie :oops: I was very jealous that my friend had glasses and I didn't.

we found some good looking once and I guess Milena is fine with it now. She told her friends that she will get glasses and nobody said anything bad - I guess that was the main reason. I´ll post pics of her with glasses next week ...

I'm glad she is ok with them. Too when she is older she can try contacts. Keri has been wearing her glasses more lately. She is at home today - not feeling well and we belive she does have a touch of mono. Also - WE GOT SNOW -woke up to over an inch on the ground. I did take a photo of it on the deck when I let the pooches out this am. However it's raining right now but the snow is still out there.

Keri still wears her glasses from time to time especially when she's not feeling well. We're going to have to go back to the doctor this week - she is sick again - she just can't seem to shake it and probably needs stronger meds. She was running a fever again of like 102 and has been dead to the world since thursday. She is in the bathtub right now. I've been feeling bad myself - feel like my ears are trying to stop up or my glands are infected again. Always something.

I just got new glasses too!! It's been over 10 years since I went to the eye doctor (I know- shame on me) but my eyes are doing really well the doctor says. My script is for reading only and computer work. In all that time, my eyes went from needing a +.50 to a +.75. So, not bad for ten years!!

I'm long overdue for an eye exam - it's been two years so I';m up there with you mouse.
It's been so cold here and they are calling for some more snow tomorrow but nothing major. We had our coldest weather this weekend - done below zero burrrrrr but plenty of sunshine.

I think glasses look great on some people and make you look intelligent too. My eyesight has gone downhill since I have been working for years in front of a computer. I can't see nearly as well as I used to.

Mine has actually improved over the years I only need one contact for distance in my left eye but I still like to wear my glasses - all the computer work I do - my eyes dry out.

same here - the computer is not good for my eyes ... I have glasses that I should be wearing while working on the computer, but most of the times I just don´t do, cause I´m jumping from the computer to do something else and back .
Milena was wearing her glasses at school yesterday and one of her glass mates started right away "oh, what childish glasses you have - these are for little babies!!! I do get new ones now and they are more fashy than yours !!! " Milena was hurt, because her glasses are already very fashy. I told her not to listen to that girl, but it´s easier said than be done. Children can be soooooo mean. I hate this girl who said that to Milena, cause she is really a very ugly girl (she really is!!!) and she´s always like that with other children. She is the best, prettiest and whatever child living on this earth.

the other little girl is probably very jelious of Milena and that is why she said what she did and possible why she can't get along with others. Kids can be mean. I remember one time a girl in my elementary school was teasing me about being adopted - I shot back with "at least I was wanted, where you". Well she went home and told her mom - who in turn called my mom. When I explained what she had said to me - her mother fully understood and made her daughter apologize to me. Kids are just getting worse by the years to each other - and it goes in the teens as well.
