    They dont look much different from the originals do they!, At first I thought they were re-enactors, but that would have been how we say 'tacky' .

    Who would ever have thought most NATO countries would wear the same shaped helmets as the WW2 Germans did... :cool: Must have been a great model !

    Yes, it certainly seems as if the design has stood the test of time. As with many other things, if it looks right, it it performs right. The design was probably the best out of the steel helmets issued to all combatants, on all sides. Even modern military kevlar helmets probably can trace their lineage to that helmet!
    Design in aircraft is the same, The Constellation airliner, the Mosquito, Mustang, Lancaster, Focke -Wulf 190, Me262 DC3 all looked right from the start :n108:
