    ~Eventreport Kogure Live~

The Hall in front of the Location Bon'n'Soir in Bonn was full of people at 7PM, as Kogure (formerly known as Lem´on:Juice), was ready to perform. The Gates opened up at half past 7 PM, and the Fans entered it calmly. Without pushing and slaying, they went to the stage and was waiting for the Band to perform.
They entered the stage at 10 minutes after 8 PM. The Crowd was going wild and applaused to welcome their Rockers on the stage.
Nervousity was in the Air, both from the Band and the Fans, but this state went away after the third song.
The Difference between a Band, which is Friends with their Fans and a Band that only wants to sell CD´s, was clearly to see. The Live was cool and the Fans was going wild, after Ryo (Vocals) encouraged them a little bit. They didn´t only played their own songs, so ther was Songs like ‚Cage' and ‚Akuro no Oka' of Dir en Grey, ‚Silly God Disco' from the GazettE as well as ‚Tonight' from Luna Sea to hear.
It was pretty warm, but the athmosphere was great and no Fan was hurt during the live.
From time to time, the Band told little jokes, to give the Fans not only the pleasure to listening to their music, but to their humour as well. Ryo lend his voice to the Fans for the whole live; he even was singing one Song alone with the Guitar, which he also played. The Band, meanwhile, went backstage.
Soon after this was a Drumsolo from Raya to hear, and just after this a Basssolo from Ishi. But this silence should not last long! They played Silly God Disco right after this.
After a short brake, there was even an enchore, which was requestet from the Fans with the Saying ‚Einer geht noch, einer geht noch rein' (One is going, one more´s going in). The Band was so happy to hear this saying that they did the enchore at once.
The Band said goodbye to the Fans that had to leave the location at 10 PM and wished the Rest of the Fans and their Friends a happy Aftershowparty.

    ~Kogure –Lemon Juice- Interview~

    1. You changed your Name from Lem´on:Juice to Kogure, why?

We want to break out, we want more people watch us with this new name and show, that we are there. Also, we are dealing with a Label at the time, and there is another Band called "Lemon Juice". It wouldn´t be good to get famous with that Name, that could lead to troubles later.

    2. Why Kogure and which meaning has this name?

    Ishi: Sounds Cool! (everyone laughs)

Hide: We was thinking for a long time, what fits us the best. Not only from the meaning, but also the sound. We wantet an english name which is able to be written with Katakana, and so we somehow found this name. But to be true, Kogure is only a shortened form of it.

And on top of that, Kogure is a japanese Instrumentmerchant.
(Ishi tells that they found that out later)
A few days ago, a friend from Japan told me that „Kogure" is a name in the Manga „Slam Dunk" – and he says that he´s the ‚most important' enemy.

    The meaning itself….
    Kuma: Fits in well!
Ryo: … (Ryo starts to laugh 2 minutes later and everyone joins him)

Hide: Colored Grey (Source: Shortened form... COlored GUREY (japanese spelling)) , there are many different shades of grey, and we wantet actually to show a not-coloured colour as a coloured one. That not everything is ‚only' grey, but that it even grey can have many shades.
Our way has many shades, and we want and could enter each door.

    3. It´s our first Live since the namechanging to Kogure. Do you expect anything about the Fans and the Live?

Raya: In any case positive, because we organized everything on our own and that is something you can be proud of.

    Ishi: Yes, great expectations.
Because we now receive, what we seeded.
We look more forward to it because we did all by ourselves.

Hide: I hope that it gets good, because it is something special. We organized everything on our own and are not bound to anyone. I also hope that the Fans like the new name, that they stay with us and we have much Fun at the Live.

Kuma: Yes, like Hide told, it shall be great for the Fans, it shall be great for us and it shall be a wonderful Live.

    4. You sing in japanese language, are you seeing yourself as a Visual Kei Band or do you have your own style?

Exactly that is why we are Visual Kei and not J-Rock. Visual Kei has nothing to do with the language, there are, for example, also chinese Visualbands.
Visual Kei is mainly the optical appearance, what whe express with our costumes. And the Music in Visual Kei holds so many different things, you don´t have to be bound to only one kind of music. That is why we are able to live our music freely.

    5. Did you Music changed its style due to the namechange?

Hide: Not really, we still write, what we want and feel.

    6. Is there a concept behind your songs or are you seeing yourself as "Funband"?
Do you want to deliver significant messages, or do you only play like you want?

We watch about what´s actual, but we write not only about what we have seen in life.
We have different Songs, happy ones, but also sad ones and very emotional ones, which have a deep meaning.
    „Tadashiin", for example.
(Ryo humms the song to fully remember everything)
Ryo: A positive song, it tells you that no matter how bad you´re feeling, no matter what happens, don´t put your head in the sand, put your back high and walk on.

    7. Are there special Bands that influence your style?

Hide: We don´t let people put us into a cupboard, because we do many different things.

Kuma: Because each of us has a favourite Band, but we don´t get influenced from them!

Ishi: Of course we have Songs, too, where you say that it reminds you, for example, at MUCC, but mainly, we write what we want to express.
If I feel sad and am in the mood to write a sad song, then I don´t think about how MUCC would write it, I think about how I can bring what I think and feel to paper.

    8. Everyone knows that Hide speaks japanese, can only he do this or can everyone of you?

Raya: Hide is the only one, we also know a little bit, and when we want to know something, we ask him. But it would never be enough for a normal discussion!

    9. Who is the songwriter, who composes the melody and who translates the textes?

Hide: Mainly, Ishi and I write the textes. I often translate them, but in the last time, Ryo helped us with our new, not yet released songs. And I also have more japanese friends which I let take a look so they can correct it if there is something to correct or when I am not sure about it.

    10. Okay and now back to the beginning, how was Lem´on:Juice, or better, Kogure, formed?

Ishi: Our 3rd birthday is at January 7th.

Hide: Raya and I knewed for a long time, at this time I was playing bass.
Ishi: Well, we met somehow and had the idear to play all together instead of everyone plays alone.

The German J-Rock Project is grateful for this Interview and whishes you much Fun at the Live.
    (everyone applauses)
Kogure: Thank you, have Fun too!
