    EotW: detached?
    To make the topic clear: For me, the Eye is unlike every other book of the series, because I cannot always figure out what some persons are doing the way I can do it with the rest... It sometimes seems it cannot be combinated with the knowledge we have gathered from the following books.
    It just leaves a whole different feeling and impression to me.
    take Ishamael in the Prologue: the air shimmered around him and manifested; is this a sort of Traveling we have not heard of later or is that the effect of him channeling you know what?
    take Rand's dream: were they simple nightmares are did Ishamael pull Rand out of his dreams into Tel'aran'rhiod? If so, it doesn't have the impression of it...
    take chapter 51: how did Rand get into the battle? what were those steps that appeared in blackness and hanging in midair? Where did they lead to; and what happened to Ishy? (he seemed to disappear screaming and later he had a burnt face; so did Rand kind of Skim to T'A'R und make Ishy step out of the dream?) and the voice "IT IS NOT HERE" I suppose it meant the 'end' which has a long way to come yet :P
    But was the voice as many believe the Creator or Lews Therin 0.3 or something else?

    So, anyone expert around of here?
    Or does anyone agree that the book feels dfferent, or disagree?
    And does everyone have another examples? :P

    Wow, it's been forever since I've read Book 1....and I haven't even finished the series (well what there is)....but perhaps it's just that it is the first book and RJ was merely getting a feel for what he was about to write so by the later books, things had inadvertantly changed. Not to mention, RJ has been know for some inconsistancies. Perhaps this is just another one?

    But I donno....that's my 2 cents...or whatever your money currency is. ^^;

    actually, cents is right :p

    What I always thought... that it was the first book and he needed to get a feel for it (I mean you see how the way of presenting the thoughts of the characters changes)
    So maybe we'll see something similar like the voice in the last book... (if it was not meant to be LTT)

    Ok cool ^^;

    Yeah...so that's pretty much what I said, yes? It was just the first book, so it was him basically seeing how he was going to present things. I think that's most likely what happened. *nods*

    On the other hand he knew what he was doing right from the start :p
    at least he says so ^^

    *snorts* Cover up if I've ever heard one. I heard that he intended WoT to be a triogly...but after Book 3...it was far from being over. So yeah...that RJ...no telling with him.

    I just hard it from being 1-6; but I can guess... it's starts to be really interesting after 3... TSR is my fave I so ADORE the part when Rand is in the Rhuidean glass columns seeing through the eyes of his ancestors x3
