    Hello Nils,
This, according to a friend of mine who collects such things, tells me it is very similar to a Mark III type G.P.O (General Post Office) telegraph 'spark key'. he said he could tell by the solid brass parts. It would have had adjustable upper and lower contacts.
The General Post office or 'GPO' were responsible for telecommunications here in the UK almost up until the notorious British Telecom came about!. All phone lines were run by the post office.
Air ministry morse keys were lighter, and the bases were of brown Bakelite 'bathtub' type and carried the AM number of 10F/7373.Canadian versions were black Bakelite.

Oh, and he also said to put it on ebay where you could find it was worth quite a bit to collectors!

Edit: He also said that P&T was the logo of the 'Postal and Telegraph' Company. They had dealings with German telecommunications before WW1 apparently. hope some of this helps.
There, I have now stopped editing this reply, He keeps phoneing me up telling me different bits and pieces...this is the final version! :n102:

    Hello Nils,
Coming right up, one 10F/7373 'Bathtub' morse key in brown Bakelite as used in RAF Bombers with the direction Finding meter or guage.(I have one of these at home with a great big AM stamped on it!) these were used in conjunction with the T1154 / R1155 radio installation.

You can view these items on this website:
