I think that Pac, Biggie, & Big L are the best but they were so different that its hard to compare them and say who was better. As far as a pure lyricist and nothing else, Big L was the best. He died so early too that its really hard to fathom what would have happened if he stuck around even another couple of years. Pac all around did the most for rap and is still going. Biggie was great too so its hard to say. I think ODB & Pun were also so amazing and unique in their own way but they were not #1 on the list.

You can hate or love the person but you gotta admit Pac is the greatest ever. Look at all the good albums he dropped before dying. BIG was good but not enough to even battle.

Definitely Pac for me, greatest of all time IMO, he covered so many topics in his rhymes.
