Now it´s official: there won´t be any Golden Globes Awards tonight!
Because of the ongoing Writer Guild strike the Golden Globes won´t take part as usual. Lot´s of the actors and actresses are expressing solidarity with the writers and decided not to show up at any Awards show ... I hope there will be a solution soon, cause next Awards show that is coming up will be the Oscars end of February ... that´s not too far from now.
The winners will be announced during an hour-long HFPA press conference at The Beverly Hilton to be covered live by NBC News beginning at 6:00 pm PST on January 13.
I´ll keep you updated on that one and let you know about Adam.

I know what you mean. I don't always watch the whole awards but with all the writers strike - it will hurt the series that are on TV.

Yeah, they were talking about cancelling the Globes a couple of weeks ago. I totally emphathise with the writers, but then we're usually at least a season behind the US, so the strikes haven't affected us yet (right now we're in the summer non-ratings period so there's nothing decent on TV anyway). Personally, I don't watch much TV anyway, so I just see it as a good excuse to do some more reading!

the reruns are good but they get so old - I like to see fresh new episodes.

seems like - from what I've been reading online - that the actors/actresses are wanting to get back to work...but then you can't believe everything you read in the news.

I'm sure both the writers and actors want to get back to work, as no doubt they all have bills to pay. I don't understand why they won't just do the right thing by the writers? I mean, they are a huge part of the reason why these shows are so successful.

it's wierd though ,cause a couple of weeks ago ,ppl were afraid that the GG's was going to be cancelled ,but the Writers Bond said they were thinking of doing this Event and after that going back to Stiking.
what changed their minds?
was it because the Actors are now also helping them? :?: :?:

I don't know, but we just started the new seasons of Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives this week, even though I thought they would wait until the strike was over. I heard the other day that they have been made a good offer or something? It sounded like the strike would be over soon anyway.
