Chapters 1 – 2
1) They´re writing the story because now it´s still in their minds ans it has got to be written before they could repress it.
2) John was known as the “Bathroom Bomber” because he used to pick little bombs in the boys toiletts and never got caught. The “supercolossal friut roll” was an action leaded by John. The whole class baught apples in the cafeteria and during a lesson they rolled them all together over the floor.
3) Lorraine thinks John is very good-looking and so he has more chances. He has a difficult relationship with his parents and smokes and drinks a lot.
4) Lorraine´s mother critizises Lorrain a lot and doesn´t have a nice word for her very often.
5) She feel sorry for her because she thinks the teacher doesn´t want to look sexy but just outgrew her clothes and can´t afford new ones.

Chapters 3 – 4
1) I don´t think John is conceited. Although he mentions that he is good-looking, I think he´s nice. He doesn´t think he´s better than other people because of his beauty.
2) Lorraine doesn´t like Dennis and Norton very much. She thinks Norton is paranoid and a social outcast. He can´t stand that Dennis got the record and so he started cheating in their phone game. She doesn´t say a lot about Dennis.
3) Mr. Pignati stayed on the line because Lorraine made him believe that she was calling for a charity fund. Lorraine thinks he just needed someone to speak to because he was so lonely.
4) John got interested because Mr. Pignati wanted to donate ten dollars for the fictive charity fund.

Chapter 5
1) John didn´t want Norton to know because Norton would have wanted more and more money and wouldn´t have stopped at ten dollars.
2) John said that Lorraine couldn´t blame him for the death, but Norton, because he had caused the troubles.
3) John likes his parents, but he thinks they are boring, and espacially his mother has a cleaning tick.
4) John convinced Lorraine because he told her that Mr. Pignati seems like a person who is going to commit suicide and that lonely people need visitors.
5) Because Mr. Pignati collects pigs. He has a whole room full of china pigs.


Chapter 6
1) Lorraine´s mother is at home when Lorraine comes home this day. She works as a nurse in a hospital.
2) Lorraine wears Ben Franklin sunglasses to make people look at her.
3) One of the “bad omens” was the woman at the zoo who selled peanuts and hated children. Another one was that a peacock attacked Lorraine when she opened her bag of peanuts. The third omen was a little child in the nocturnal room, it looked at the visitors as if they were the animals and made Lorraine nervous.
4) Mr. Pignati described Bobo to Lorraine and John as his best friend.
5) Lorraine doesn´t like zoos. She doesn´t like seeing all those animals behind bars and glass so a lot of people can stare at them.

Chapter 7 - 8
1) I think John likes to go to the cementery because it´s beautiful there. There are flowers, green grass und it´s always calm. And the Masterson´s tomb is one of his favourite places because they can drink there and wouldn´t be found.
2) John´s father doesn´t take him seriously and compares him always with his older brother. Mr. Pignati likes as he is and respects his dream of becoming an actor.
3) I think Mr. Pignati said it because he just isn´t able to admit that his wife is dead. He doesn´t want to seem lonley.
4) Lorraine accepted Mr. Pignati´s gifts because it was the first time someone bought her stuff she didn´t needed but just liked, and haven´t even asked for.
5) John wanted to wear the roler skates in the store because he wanted to do something crazy. At home he hasn´t got the chance to do something that isn´t quite normal.


Chapters 9 – 10
1) John doesn´t want to have anything to do with Norton because this guy steals a lot isn´t very clever. John says that Norton is so low on the scale of evolution he belonged back in the age of the Cro-Magnon man.
2) Lorraine´s mother is “fixated on the subject” means, that she isn´t able to trust any man, because her former husband has betrayed her while she was pregnant. And so she warns Lorraine from man and thinks they all have dirty minds and they´re only after one thing.
3) Lorraine told that she walked to school a few days and skipped lunch to get the stockings for her mother.
4) They told Mr. Pignati the truth because he was so nice to them and they didn´t want to lie to him any more.

Chapters 11 – 12
1) They pretended to be his children so they could go and see him in the hospital.
2) They brought him eleven gladioli from the cementery.
3) They avoided the room with the pigs because they thought it was something almost religious about that room. Like it contained a spirit that belonged only to Mr. Pignati.
4) He took out the beer because he wanted to invite a few friends for a little party that night.


Chapters 13 – 14
1) John invited Dennis because Dennis stole a bottle of 80 proofer out of his father´s whiskey cabinet.
2) There were 14 people at the party.
3) The party would probably would have gone wrong, because Mr. Pignati came back earlier and the party wouldn´t have stopped by this time. But it would have been not as bad as it was, because Norton wanted to steal some things and John and Norton beated each other.
4) Lorraine´s mother asked her where her clothes were and slapped her into the face.
5) John´s mother just worried about the dirt John braought in with his roller skates on, and his father hasn´t said a word. Just the next day he said that they had to send John to a doctor.
6) I think John is to blame for his idea having a party in Mr. Pignati´s house, but Lorraine is also involved. She wasn´t against the idea although she should have seen the possible problems and that it is wrong to do somethin glike that.
7) Mr. Pignati collapsed when he recognized that Bobo was dead.
8 ) I think the climax of the story are two things. First, when Lorraine and John met Mr. Pignati for the first time and decided to become friends with him. And the other thing is, when they made this party. Perhaps Mr Pignati would have survived when he would not have been so disappointed in John and Lorrain.

ich hab überall höchstens 1 oder 2 Sätze (kurze^^)

Ich find das Buch war garnicht so schlecht. auf jeden fall besser als das was ma sonst in english glesen ham. und das ende war echt traurig obwohl eh von anfang an klar war das er stirbt....

kommt eh ned oft vor dass i a hausübung gewissenhaft mach =)
